| I downloaded Adblock plus yesterday and as a result it blocked all my pictures I tried to open. Just got a blanks screen. Here is a link to a thread here on YT that might help you. Others were having the same problem. Do you have Adblock installed? Hope this helps. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sit...ml#post4412722

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Thank you so much Enchilla Quote:
Following your help I went to the Adblock icon at the bottom of the screen (iMac) and disabled Adblock Plus for 'Yorkietalk.com', (a new feature I'm sure wasn't there before). This done I'm now back to normal, perhaps Adblock updated overnight and this new function has materialized? Many thanks indeed for your kind help... | |

I have been having the same problem, I was told what the problem was but did not want to uninstall ad blocker, so I am so glad you told me about the little icon, which LOL I never even noticed. Now I can easily unblock and reblock as I need to. I notice that sometimes it reverts back and I have to re check it but that is no biggie, thanks again for sharing your solution

| I had this going on for the past few days. I sent an email to Admin and he asked about ad blocker. I did not install one but apparently with the latest Chrome update, one was added. I had NO clue. It is up on the upper right hand corner of the browser!

P. S. I see, you have to download Ad Block first, which I haven't done. Nevermind!

| A link about Ad Block for Chrome: https://code.google.com/p/adblockfor...iki/HowToFixIt Actually it may be wonderful to have for Facebook since they seem to be determined to inundate us with ads.

| Thank you for that link - lots of information and help there. Linda, a question - if you know the answer. Does this program block ads that come up when you go on newspaper websites that have this "Skip This Ad" for one to click and go on to the article or just regular old pop-up sales type ads? You just start reading the article and up comes this ad until you are permitted to skip it, which is never an instant choice - takes at least 10 seconds. Does this program block those types of pop-up ads, do you know?

| Do you not get those type ads when you click on a newspaper article to read it? That would likely tell me if the Ad Blocker is preventing them.

| That thing only started a couple of days ago. The only thing I noticed was the pics on YT.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hello Jeanie, I'm on a Mac with Firefox as a web browser. However you can access the 'Chrome' application 'pop up' blocker easily, which is what I think you mean? A demo is available here... Adblock knocks out all the Ads that festoon web pages these days and not only confuse reading your selected content, but are so easy to click on by mistake. Martin |
