| New Cherry picture & Update!! I've been absent from YT for a while. It's been a bit hectic at my house with the kiddos, halloween, school stuff. Cherry went for her second round of puppy shots yesterday at the vet. She did great, but was really sore afterwards. I ended up taking her back to the vet to make sure she was ok. They said she was, she was just sore from one of the shots they gave her. She's 2 pounds, 10 ounces now!! And about 10.5 weeks. I can see a lot of tan hairs under the black on the top of her head now, and her ears look like they'll be standing up soon. She's still a major cuddle bug, and follows me around EVERYWHERE! We're totally in love! The vet said she's doing fantastic! Cherry is a little celebrity at the vet's office, since everyone knows her story. They're all very pleased with how well she is doing! Here is a picture of her lounging on the couch. (She's getting a much needed bath today) Ugh, sorry the picture is sideways. It's not sideways on my computer, but it rotates when I upload it! :/

| she is getting big...do you do one shot at a time?? i bring all mine back and do it one at a time...it just works better fro them. if you crop the photo it might solve the issue of going sideways. have a good rest of your day.

| Cherry is absolutely adorable, as usual. She is growing like a weed! I know you are probably as velcroed to her as she is to you

| Cherry is my favorite puppy! Did you know if you take the top 1/3rd of the hair off her ears they have a better chance of standing? I use my husbands mustache clippers.

When I took her back, the vet tech said next time we'll separate the shots. So hopefully her last round of puppy shots won't bother her as much!

| Cherry's hair is "breaking" I saw your message about Cherry's hair on the top of her head turning blonde below the black. My breeder/friend told me that when Taffy's hair did that, it meant that the "breaking" into a lighter color below foretells that the yorkie will have golden to light blonde hair on his head as an adult. (Taffy's head hair looked white at the roots at 14 weeks.) Well, she was correct, at age 3 years, Taffy now has lovely light blonde shades of hair all over his head...the black is all gone! His body hair has no black anywhere either, it has turned silver to pale greys, and his legs are all shades of blonde. It will be fun to keep photos of Cherry to compare her puppy coat to her adult coat by age 3. Some yorkies never change, some do. |
