| Mommy - Whyyyyy??? So, the last time I took Mandie to the vet to get her rabies shot, she did ok. Although, she did pee when they were giving her the benadryl shot first. (She's always been an "excited/nervous/submissive" pee-er). This time when I took her back to get her Parvo/Disptemper vac, she knew something was up. She paced the entire time we were waiting on them to come in. There will be a post to follow with pics because I have more than 4 so hang tight. Pre-vet coming in - pacing. What's up, Mommy? I hear stuff goin on out there..what's going on? ....

| They came in and gave her the benadryl shot..and yes, she peed all over the table again. Then, they left. This goes from: Pic 1: hiding in the corner between the seat and table Pic 2: relaxing from the shot but wondering why I'm doing this (also please excuse that hair on my shirt - I need a lint roller lol) Pic 3: Just before they came to give her the vac, she finally curled up to sleep - Bless my girl. I love her!

| Lynzy, she finally forgave me when we got home and then I did the unthinkable - I turned on the oven to cook potato skins for the football game. She hid behind the bed for an hour until she finally came back out. I don't think she has really forgiven me for that one yet. She was giving me the stink eye as I was leaving for work this morning. LOL (note: she freaks out when you cook in the oven - not on the stove - just in the oven)

| Because I'm "that" lady. I've read so many horror stories on here from vac reactions and I know benadryl can't hurt so I give it to her just in case. It's only $20 more and I just think I have more peace of mind getting it. She's perfectly fine after we leave the vet. She doesn't have any intense nervous reaction to the 2nd of the shots so I don't think it puts any undue stress on her. She'd be scared and pee on the 1st shot no matter if it's benadryl or the vac so I do it. With that said...I am a firm believer in that the vacs are not needed every year (and I did the 3 year rabies) so she won't have to go thru this again for a very long time.

| My little Gina would shake and hide behind me every time we went to the vet's office. Zoey, she can't wait to get in and say hi to everyone and their dog. She makes so much noise it's ridiculous. I have to keep her leashed in the exam room because she will dart out the door and run all over their back rooms.

We did get to meet a fellow couple with a larger Yorkie. He wasn't feeling well and was 14 years old. They said he couldn't hear well. But he was so mild mannered. His cut and all looked just like Brit's Jackson to me. Mandie kept trying to get over to him. But once we got past the waiting room..she was ready to get out of Dodge. lol

| Poor sweet darling baby girl! Good on you for administering benadryl b4 her vacs...I had 2 that had allergic reactions to vaccines & it scared me to death. It's not something to fool around with...
