| Thanks for the pics/memories! My father was working in Fairbanks for Schlumberger, when I was born.....momma went into labor and she ran home to Texas so I would be born in Texas....and then we went back to Alaska....I can remember Alaska like it was yesterday....and the "6 months of daylight, 6 months of night" is one of those memories! My parents had to put foil in the windows for I would go to sleep, as I thought we needed to be playing outside during the 6 months of daylight! I love that gorgeous pic of Joel @ 11pm in Alaska!! |

| It was still pretty light at 11pm about a month ago in the UK but now the darker nights are drawing in and it's already getting darker (dark blue skies) by 10.15pm. Neil and I went to the beach at 8pm last night as it was way too hot during the day |
