| She's Home (Yorkie Hit By Car) Well, we are home with Gianna. We gave her a bully stick on the way home and boy oh boy she went to down. Never put it down. She is a very skinny little girl (Hard to see it in pictures but you can count every bone). She got her first bath and did great and I trimmed her up some with no issues or complaints from her. The vet is astonished at the improvement she has made. You would not think it was the same dog. She is walking, just still a little unsteady (I think more weak then anything) and she's eating (loves to eat. She eats like she may not get anymore, which is sad) Loves people and is sitting on my lap as I type this. She came to me to be picked up and loved. Only issue is I'm not sure she likes other dogs or if it's just because she does not feel well yet. She growls at my girls, as soon as one even comes over submissivly she puts her teeth up and growls. Not overly agggressive, but like a warning. Maybe she's just being protective because she is weak, can't really say, but in placing it may be best to place her as an only dog or maybe with just one other dog (male) and see how she does. She is not spayed, so that too could be the issue. I called Yorkie rescue 911 and told her we have her and I'm waiting for what next. The vet feels she will make a full recovery with no issues. I posted before and during bath pics. Will post after pictures after she rests up. Do not want to overwhelm her. |

| She looks so pitiful. You're an angel for getting her. She may have been an only yorkie in her previous home. If so, then she may not be used to not being the one and only Princess. I can't wait to see her new pics after she's rested. I hope she continues to do well.

| Oh what a little angel. Bless you for taking such sweet care of this little one. And I agree with you, I think she's been through alot and is just being defensive due to all the reasons you gave. I know with lots of love from you and your other fur babies, she'll make a complete recovery! Keep us updated!

| What a little sweetie. She may just be nervous and jumpy because of all she has been through. Poor baby. With time she might just fit right in. Hope she stays with you or gets a really loving forever home. |

| Sounds like she's doing very well.... just be careful... I have four, and if one pulls a hair and yelps or limps the others rush over, I don't know if they would attack the 'hurt' dog or if they're just being nosey. I would keep her separated from the others until she is fully recouperated, like in an xpen where they can still see and sniff each other, but the injured dog will feel protected. When my Tink had her surgery, the xpen worked out fine, even though she's the boss and knows the others, Tink was weak and hurting from the surgery and appreciated being able to go in the pen when she wanted to be alone and to rest, without having to look over her shoulder 24/7.

| The growling is a minor issue that can be trained, so I wouldn't worry about other dogs at this time. I do hope she finds the right home and with loving parents that know how to train.

| Oh my, she is a little sweetheart for sure. I know she must have come through to much and is overcoming all the challenges, bless her little heart. She found her angel in you Is she going to be spayed before she is placed? Just the thought of this girl ever getting into wrong hands and the life that she would lead after all she has been through,... Hugs to you both )))
