| Mama did what to my hair?!? I had an appt for Pita to get groomed on saturday but I chickened out. I don't like to leave her anywhere esp with a stranger where I can't see her...I know, I know, I am such a wuz! Soooo, I decided to 'groom' her myself. It's a work in progress but she was as patient as she could be. I didn't get to her ears and I have some touching up to do, but here she is practically bald and PROUD |

| I think you did a wonderful job! She looks fantastic! Great first grooming job! I stopped taking mine to a groomer over ten years ago after two groomer mishaps - one resulting in my Cricket getting a fungal infection in her ear from groomer according to my vet. I really like grooming myself. They do learn to sit still and let mommy groom. I always give them a little treat afterwards.

| Thanks all, you are too kind!! She looks teeny without all of that crazy cottony hair. I like it shorter much more than I thought I would. I was going for the short back, longer leg and face look, lol! (schnauzer cut, I guess) |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You did a great job! I don't blame you for not wanting to leave her someplace, too many horror stories. I can't believe how many places use automatic type of hair dryers and just let the dogs sit in a grate while a dryer blasts them. I want Joey to think of grooming like a spa day not a trip to the dentist. Have you learned to do the nails yet? I did it for a while, but I hurt him once, and I haven't been able to do it again. Joey's breeder told me to hold the nail firmly when I'm clipping, because the wiggling of the nail is what causes the pain and to just take tiny bits at a time, but I still hurt him. So now I go to her and in between the vet does it. I feel so stupid that I can't do this
