| Look who is feeling better! So after her spay Tuesday, Holly hasn't been herself. Today, she is starting to act a little more normal! She wanted on the couch so I put her up here with me, she immediately pees! That is her only problem now, she's peeing everywhere, all day, little drops! But at least she is starting to feel more like her sweet self! |

| Did Holly pee on things before the spay or was she fully potty trained? If this is a change for her, I'd be calling the vet.

I would inform the vet, she may have a UTI and need antibiotics. So glad she feeling better though!

| No, she was pretty much potty trained except for the occasional accident. What she's doing now is just little drops everywhere. I have called and they said they empty their bladders during surgery and she's probably just feeling a weird sensation and to wait and see for a few days if it gets better. They are open in the morning and I will probably take her in if she is still doing it. It will be the 4th day. |

| Well, this is going to sound dumb, but I have no idea. He said based on her teeth, she wasn't ready for spay at 6 months. I guess she didn't bc I didn't notice anything different about her. |

| That's good not to spay too early, sounds like a good vet. Hopefully these issues will resolve on their own as she heals.

| I just realized you have two threads on this. You mentioned that she had blood in her drops of urine, yesterday. Did that resolve itself?

| I'm glad she's feeling better. Belle peed on the couch the day after her spay, but it was my fault.... she was afraid to get down by herself and I didn't recognize the cues she was trying to give me. However, four days after her surgery, I would be concerned and we'd be making a trip back to the vet to rule out a UTI.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Awww! What a cutie patootie! So glad she is feeling a bit better. I'm new to Yorkie mommyhood, but my first thought was maybe trying those disposable dipers for doggies just while she is going through this so she won't be peeing everywhere. Just a newbies first thought. I would talk to the vet too.
