| Really warm but... I got this knitted dress from etsy. It's a little bit but very cute dress. Haruka seemed to love it as she just snuggled as soon as I put it on her yesterday. So I thought this will be warm for her to wear for her walk. She was walking very slow. Yesterday she had wool sweater as well. I realized it might have been heavy for her. Today when I weighed her she weighed 3 lb and 2 oz. (she is 5 years old by the way.) So well.. sweater must be heavy. I took it off and she waled much faster even it was cold. I need to find something that is warm but not too heavy for her for this winter

| Aw she's a sweetheart and the dress is really cute too. Not sure, but yarn can be pretty heavy and she is just a wee-bit of a thing Maybe if you are looking for the warmth of the yarn, a yarn harness work better? Just a thought. Very pretty though.

| Thanks for the reply. Boston actually gets really cold so I was thinking something that covers better as she is all shaved

| She is very cute in her dress. Maybe a fleece jogging set instead as fleece is very light weight. I know that there is a YT member who makes very nice ones I just can't think of who it is. |

| Haruka looks very pretty in her sweater dress, but I know first hand that knitted/crocheted items can weigh alot. I knitted ZoE a pink sweater and crocheted a frill around it to look more like a dress. I then made her another one in red and thinking it could be worn around Christmas time, I thought I would make it more festive, by adding more frills. Well, I put the red one on her and could tell right away she didn't like it. I compared it to the pink one and it was sooo much heavier. I've since redone the red one with less frill to lighten the weight and now ZoE is fine with it.

| You could try something with a light weight blend and use a more open stitch that isn't so tight. Waffle or open basket type can still be just as warm when used with the correct yarn. If you like the more solid look you could go with the light weight wool blend.

| Heavens she is adorable No wonder she was so slow, the dress weighs more than she does Perhaps something made of fleece would be lighter but still nice and toasty warm?

| Fleece might be a good idea. It is much lighter. Thank you for the idea.
