| New puppy pic Thought I would share the most recent picture of my new puppy. He should be coming home in about 2 weeks, I'm so excited! I still have my worries about how Porscha is going to react but I have been reading up and I know what to expect for that part. But I do need some advice, I think this is what I am going to do...all and any input would be awesome!...Right now I have Porscha in my master bathroom during the day with a babygate up, her crate, pee pee pad, toys and food and water. I know not to leave her and the new boy alone so I think I am going to put him in my master bedroom in a baby playpen (pack n play). (I got it for Porscha but she hated it and wanted to be in her crate more) anyways right now at the breeders she has him in a playpen like that with a bed and a pee pee pad. So I figured he is already use to this, I'm just concerned though that maybe I should get him a crate too, I think he should learn to be in one just incase I have to put him in one at like my parents or any of the places I am going for the holidays. It's so hard to decide I am generally gone for long periods of the day but it's sorta like shifts, my b/f leaves at 5 in the morning but I don't leave till around 9ish depending on the day, then he gets home at 3. Anyhow I don't want to leave him in his crate that long but I want him to get use to one! Should I just have him sleep in it at night and the playpen during the day? This is really my main concern I'm just not sure what to do. When I first got Porscha I left her in her crate during the day but I felt bad and it was the worst thing for potty training, now that I have the new set up she is almost completely potty trained! Ugh please help and if you can't just enjoy the picture lol!! He is the one on the left. 7 weeks old |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | What a cutie! I put Cali ina dog play pen, open top but front zips open so she can go in and out to sleep or wee we pads are in their. She has done exremely well this way. She is 99% trained on her wee wee pads. She now sleeps with me on my bed and during the night she will go down the stairs we have next to the bed and go in her play pen and wee. I also have one in the other end of the house that she uses if were in there. I have never crate or wee wee pad trained my other dogs and I really like this way. |
