| New to YT... Puppy Pics, and quick question Hi everyone! I'm Karla, and these are my girls Candy and Dulce. They just turned 11 weeks yesterday . I wanted to see if anyone else had littermates? These two are ALWAYS wrestling... there is always a leg, paw, ear, or tail stub in someone's mouth... Does anyone have any issues with this? Hoping they'll grow out of it! |

Yorkie Yakker | Welcome to YT! Your new babies are so adorable! As for your question, I don't have litter mates but my yorkie and my maltese are constantly like this. It's how they play but when I feel like it's going too far then I'll break it up. I'm not sure if they'll grow out of it but I sure hope so for my sanity! I'm so scared that my new little yorkie puppy will get hurt somehow but she's the one always initiating the play fight.

YT 1000 Club Member | Welcome! My two yorkies Charlie and Natalie are always playing like that. You will have to watch them, mine gets rough sometimes and I do have to break it up too. They are not litter mates, but are one year apart. Charlie is 2 years old and Natalie is 1 year old the 25th. |

| Ears and legs seem to be the favorite biting places for Nala on Bandit (never the other way around lol). Wrestling is fine, just keep a close eye on it to make sure they're not too rough. Your yorkies are adorable by the way!!! |

| Thanks guys I LOVE them so much! I was only going to get one (Dulce) but I just couldn't leave Candy behind once I met her. They do stop as soon as I tell them too, but wondering if I should separeate them for a little or something. |

| This isn't based on any "evidence" other than my years of having dogs. I think it's good to separate them on occasion...insomuch as taking one on an outing one day, leaving the other home (or with someone else) and then switching with the other one...off and on so they can develop their own personalty and bond with you. I "heard" it's best to have at least a three plus months between puppies as they bond to each other more than the humans and I've noticed a difference in my dogs (over the years) when there's an age difference and when they are the same age. Separating them from play I agree with the others, pups play rough and just good to supervise as any mother of (human) twins (boys in particular) know that all that rough housing can lead to it getting out of hand and eventually one of those "twins" is going to "win" the fight and the pecking order is set.
