| My new boy!! Hi There We just got our new member of the family, Romeo. He is 9 weeks old. Any advise on potty training and when and how to groom him would be gratefully acknowledged. Here is a picture of him in a cubby next to me when I'm online. The second one is same place but with his ducky toy. He loves attacking the duck. |

| Congrats! Grooming can range from 4-6 weeks depending on growth. Praise & treats along with repetitive actions is the best technique for potty training. Can't wait to see pics!

| Congrats and welcome to YT! #1 thing to remember when potty training are actually two things Consistency and Patients. It's the only way to be successful. Good luck and come back and post pics. We love seeing all the different babies.

| Hello and Welcome to YorkieTalk! I agree with the other posters about potty training ... positive reinforcement, consistent schedule, and patience.

Potty training - most of it is consistency & patience (as said) but remember he is a puppy and not to expect too much of him right away. Confine his area when you aren't around to watch him for signs that he has to go potty. Are you training him to go outside or on pee pee pads? Are you free feeding him? At 9 weeks old he is young, so depending on his weight - I don't think I'd put him on a feeding schedule just yet. You do have another dog so that might help him in learning faster.
