| finally a nice day in ontario well we finally got some nice weather & sun!! so we were outside today Can anyone tell me why my baby's hair is always messy looking? I bath every week, & brush/comb 2 to 3 times a day, but he always looks like an "orphan" he is 10 months old. |

| He doesn't look like an orphan to me. He is adorable, I love the 3rd pic in the first post where he is laying on the steps. His face is so sweet, very good pics. I am constantly combing my two also, I get them perfect then the shake or start playing and you can't even tell I have touched them. I think its just a yorkie thing.

| thanks thanks, I hope it is just a Yorkie thing. the ends of his hair are so stragglie looking. I talked to a groomer downtown today and she will let me stay with him while he is getting groomed so I think I will take him the end of April for his first birthday just to get the stragglies off & polished up for his big day. |

| I don't think he looks like an orphan! I agree that it's probably just the straggly puppy hairs left over. A groomer could/should be able to clean those right up. Jackson went thru the same thing as a pup and even after a bit of not being groomed, he begins looking straggly to me so I keep him cut short.

| I think Yorkies prefer to be Scruff muffins . Right after a good brushing Sunshine will go out of his way to mess up his hair . I cannot imagine how some of you here can keep long coats ,I love them long or short . Yours is adorable .

| messy yorkie thanks for the replies. I really want to try to keep a long coat. I know it is going to be a lot of work. Wouldn't you know it, this afternoon he got burs in his coat and I had to cut them out of his leg hair! ugh! But I'm not giving up until he is at least 3 years old.!!! |

| "Always looks like somethings nest" that is so funny. (but true for my little guy also) so far today he has managed to keep his topknot in for 2 hours. yay!! I found some bows with spring barretts on them & they seem to work really good. But it is the straggly hairs & especially his legs that drive me nuts! |
