Sadie's new brother - Meet Beemer! We went yesterday to pick up Sadie's new little brother. Sadie loves everyone and all dogs. In hindsight though, I think we made a mistake taking her with us. We thought it would be cool because she got to see her parents and tons of relatives. It was all a little overwhelming for her. It was a four hour drive to start with and then the final straw was five rambunctious puppies wanting to climb all over her. I'm sure she'll come around but for the moment she's wondering what happened to her peaceful life yesterday. Beemer is so cute though - he just follows her around and wants her to love him. He's a little cuddle bum! They did play a little last night but for the most part she is avoiding him. Here's a few pictures of Beemer and one of Sadie from this morning that pretty much says it all!

He is so cute! His name fits him perfectly! His eyes shine like a BMW's headlamps! Being a big sister must be exhausting for Sadie she looks tired

| Oh my goodness he is precious! I just love the brown nose. Give her time she'll come around. Soon enough she'll realize she'll always have a play buddy even when your not home. He is precious!

Beamer is precious. It won't be long before they will become best buds. Poor Sadie looks so sad. I wonder what they think when a newbie comes in and invades their space?

Ahhh, Breamer is so cute. I feel sorry for Sadie. I took my Jack to get a sister and he was not happy. We didn't get one that day, still looking. It upset him so bad he got sick on the way home. Poor babies.

Thanks everyone! Sadie is pitiful isn't she? My husband said that he didn't worry this much when he brought his second child home! I really think she'll come around though - she spends time at friends of ours and they have seven dogs including puppies and she loves all of them. We're really trying hard to make her feel important. I feed her first, let her out of her playpen before him and talk to her first when I come in the room. A little while ago Sadie was doing tricks with me and Beemer sat right by her and she didn't care. I already see things warming up a little. I just hate seeing her look so dejected - even just for a while! Oh - another thing I did that seems to be helping both of them is when I was gone this morning I put their playpens side by side. He can't get to her but they can see each other. I think it helped keep him calm and let her get used to him from a distance.
