Jillie looks so adorable!!! I still have to get Sophie a coat, too. Good thing it doesn't get too cold here in TN!

Thanks, Jenni! As much as it pains me to admit it, you ROCK! Just don't tell anyone on the banning thread I said that.

My apologies for not having her hair up in a topknot, but I STILL can't get my big man paws to figure out how to do it. I combed her hair, but it got progressively worse with each new coat I put on her.

I especially like the warm green parka and the blue Old Navy windbreaker. So Alaskan!

Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike,

Don't you know? It's not about you. It's about Jillie. She's a girl. She deserves to wear PINK! (or salmon, if you prefer!) Is it because you're a man? Do you really think that people (I'm guessing guys) are going to think differently of you whether you're walking Jillie, walking Jillie in a green parka or walking Jillie in a pink parka? The fact that you walk Jillie proves you have conquered MWOAWSFDALI Phobia. Now you must conquer MWOAWSFDIPCALI Phobia.

LOL, you're KILLING me. I read your post on my phone and got so discombobulated by the logic that, not only was I unable to reply, it RUINED the rest of my evening! Am I a bad dad? Am I a GIRLAPHOBE?

I decided to leave the answer to fate. I was watching our hockey team play Stockton, Calif., on TV while at a local bar. Since Stockton's jerseys were pink as a fundraiser for breast-cancer research, I decided that if our team won, I'm right to shun pink. If Stockton won, I would buy Jillie a new pink wardrobe.

Well, it was touch and go for a while. We blew 3-0 and 4-1 leads and went in to overtime tied 4-4. There was no scoring in overtime, so we went to a shootout. I was nervous, not just for our team but at the thought of having to dress Jillie in PINK.

Fortunately, the Aces, otherwise known as the team in blue, came through in the shootout and won the game.

So there's your answer, straight from the gods of fate themselves.

Besides, dogs are colorblind. Only girls dress their girls in pink.

Okay, you win. Actually, I used to be a Pinkophobe. Then I thought to myself: What is my problem with Pink? It's a color. My male dog is in full coat. I got tired of explaining to people that HE is a HE! When I got my females,(currently growing their full coats) everyone thought they were boys. So, I went to Pink! Pink harnesses and leads for my girls, and a blue harness and lead for my boy. Well, needless to say, that didn't work, even after I explained it a few times. You know, the pink is for girls, blue is for boys thingy. Long hair overrules all.

My problem with pink: I used to think it was unnatural. But if you look around, it's everywhere. I don't know how many pink flowers there are, and I've always liked flowers: all colors even the pink ones. Since I've gotten into photography, I've taken many shots of sunrises and sunsets, especially on the water. Of course, there's a lot of pink in those shots. There's even pink sand in the Bahamas! How could I be against something so natural? So I slowly began accepting pink into my life. It's not worth fighting it. Just learning to choose my battles....

I'm thinking too: Only girls dress their girls.

Oh, and congrats to your team winning!

Thanks for the pink lesson! You're right. It's a great and natural color. It would help if I was a little more color-coordinated myself. My wife is constantly telling me NO! when I grab a combination for myself that is taboo.

I'm actually OK with the color, but I don't go shopping looking for pink. I go looking for something that's going to keep them warm and dry. If it's pink, I'll get it. But as it's turned out, most of what I've run across hasn't been pink.

I definitely worry too much about what other people think of my little dogs, but a big part of it is society. I think the majority think that little dogs aren't dogs. They see Paris Hilton carrying hers around in her purse and think everyone gets them as an accessory. I actually had a woman walk by me in Petco last week and sniff "That's not a dog," as I was walking Jillie. I'm able to laugh that off because I know better, she doesn't.

I fell so head over heels in love with Eddie that I felt I owned it to him to show people what amazing dogs Yorkies are. Dressing them up in anything but warm attire doesn't bring the results I'm looking for.

That's not to say I don't appreciate a well-groomed and well-dressed Yorkie. I love all the YT Yorkies, but then again, I'm a MWOAWSFDALI.

Hey, even as a girl, I have issues with people "judging" me for the Yorkie thing! If I'm out without Jackson and the "what kind of dog do you have?" convo pops up and I say "Yorkie" immediately people assume a tiny 3lb frilly dog that I carry in my purse. When I explain to them that he's nearly 13lbs and a rugged outdoor dog, everyone is SHOCKED! lol. Same thing with when they meet him, they always end up like "Wow, he's a really cool dog!" And when we go to the dog park and he's one of the fastest ones there, it's almost like everyone is shocked that *gasp* a Yorkie actually RUNS! lol. Stereotypes suck but whatever, I get over it 'cause like you said, they don't know any better.

OMG She is super cute!! She really has grown up since I was last on YT and saw pics of her as a puppy. She's beautiful!

Mike, if those clips work I have a ton of them. I will send you some. Just let me know! I totally understand because my husband cannot figure out those bands either. He will brush her but brings her to me to actually put the band in I might also have some bands that are super stretchy that you could probably manage.

How big is she? She looks like she is about Sammy's size and they have the same haircut. OK I'm going to have to search for some more pics of her now!

They sure are pretty.

What's up with no pink? Doesn't Jilly like pink? or is she a tom-boy?
