| ♥ Check out this size comparison! ♥ This is Missy's new friend "Jackson'. He is a Harlequin Great Dane. He is actually scared of Missy believe it or not. Just a big, gentle, giant. This is actually the first dog (other than our pug) that I have let Missy be down on the ground with. There was NO way that Jackson would hurt her, not even by accident. His movements were so slow and careful. He's a real sweetheart. Anyways, just thought that I'd share...it was too cute not to. I threw in a pic of Missy and I that my friend took without me knowing.

| I asked the owner that question and he said the life expectancy is 8-12 yrs. I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. I haven't started to research the breed. I also wonder if they have any hip or knee problems because of those loooooong legs. I do know one thing, if they ever require surgery, the cost of anaesthetic alone is over $500!!! It costs him roughly $100 a month to feed him as well. So many things to think about before truly making a commitment to getting such a large dog. This Great Dane was rescued from craigslist for free!
