Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | There are quiet a few with yorkies that tiny. Me - I wanted a bit larger and am glad I did. I'd be a wreck with one that small in the house. Hope your puppy will be ok - you didn't say what kind of health issues. |

Therapy Dog Donating Member | I hear ya..Izzy was supposed to be 4# but lucky if she stays at 3#. She was 2.3 when I got her at 5 months and she is almost 3 years old and hovers around 2.10 and 3. She has health issues as well..pancreatitis, SIBO and IBD. It is so tough with the little ones..they don't have much wiggle room in losing weight when they get sick. How old is your baby?

| My Maximus Toby is 2 lbs in this pic. He is very healthy - Thank God!!! He was 2 yrs old in pic and is now 4 yrs old and about 2 1/2 lbs. Breeder told us he would be 4 lbs full grown but he stayed very small. So sorry to hear about your lil one I hope she gets better.

| I know it is scary with one that small. Dudley is the picture in my avatar. He is alittle over 2lbs. and will be 6mo. old the 15th of this month. The vet said he was healthy and that he knows the dogs that the breeder has and he said I didn't have to worry with one of her puppies. Its just that he is so small I am afraid of having him fixed, him getting hurt etc. He runs and plays with the others just like he is as big as they are. lol!!! |

| I have a smaller one, she is healthy as a horse, and her attitute makes up for her lack in size. Maddie is 2lbs 8oz at 11 months, but I think that she still may grow a bit, I am hoping that she ends up more like 3-3.5lbs I agree that there is not much room for error when they are this small. Even an upset tummy is a big deal. I really hope that your little one gets better, It is so hard when they are sick.

I have never heard anyone say they thought a 6 month old Yorkie pup was done growing. It could be possible not to grow anymore, but not probable. I have a 6 month old male and I am expecting him to continue to grow. He is almost as big as his father now, but since he was born larger and larger at every step so far, I am feeling pretty sure he will wind up a little larger than dad.

| Pictrued here on the left 11 month old yorkie weighing 2 lbs 13 oz. One on the right 8 months old 3.5 lbs. Both heathy and active. Only problems so far have been extra teeth which needed to be removed from both.
