| My baby is so big.... Lexi is 9 months old now and I think she gets prettier all the time, but I miss her being my tiny baby. She is now 5lbs 6oz and when I brought her home at 11 weeks she was only 1lb 6oz. I attached a pic at 11 weeks (the day I got her) and a couple from last night. Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, a few months ago she started getting a lot of silver around her face. Then the last few weeks I have noticed the roots of the silver are starting to turn a gold/tan color, is this normal?

| My little guy is 17 weeks old and 7 lbs does that make you feel any better. He was never real little, but i love him to pieces. I miss when he was real little too. He's kinda gangley right now....another growth spurt. He always had white/grey on his forhead, but after his last hair cut it looks more red/tan now. So I guess it does happen.

| OK, I guess I should have worded that differently. I know she is still little but she is not tiny puppy, and please don't get me wrong I love the size she's at. I guess I just miss the baby in her and the puppy breath. Guess it's time for another. red98vett, I know, but man why does it have to be so darn quick.

| This previous thread discussed some of this. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=growth+chart I guess the growth chart isn't so accurate. 1 lb. 6 oz. or 22 oz. should grow to be about 3 1/2 lbs. I had heard that you can take the weight at 8 weeks and triple it or at 12 weeks and double it. Say 1 1/2 lbs. at 12 would be 3 lbs. I guess that isn't accurate either. Are you feeding your furbaby growth hormone? Just kidding! 5 lbs. 6 oz. is still a nice size. Let's face it, 10 lbs. is still small compared to most dogs. I'm wondering about my Sunshine. She was 22 oz. at 11 weeks and now at 5 mos. or 22 weeks she is 3 lb. 4 oz. What difference does it make really? Can you honestly say you'd love them any differently if they were some other weight or size? By the way, Lexi is beautiful!

| Lexi is a very pretty lil girl, but 5 lbs 6 oz does not a whopper make.

| Your little gal is adorable, they grow up way too fast but you have so many color changes to look forward to BTW Sunshine not all babies weight gain will be the same...my chart is just a gauge the 11 week weight dbling would have been about the same estimated weight as the chart, Its all in the genetics.
