| Escaping from wire crate! ** oops! can someone move this post to the general discussion thread? i didn't notice where i was posting ** I am sliding the lock completely into place. Granted it's just an easy slide from left to right, but COME ON, he's a dog!!! He figured out how to slide it to the unlocked position so the crate door opens to let him out! He got out in the middle of the night last night and chewed my $500 Blackberry all to H***! There's like no way to contain this dog now. I know about the Xpen and adding a top to it, etc, etc...but seriously...will this REALLY keep him from escaping? Just about everything I own has been ruined by his chewing no matter WHERE i put it, spray on it, rub on it. I needed to take the trash out so I prepared the trashbag and set it on the kitchen counter top...mind you...KITCHEN COUNTERTOP.... I go to the bathroom for 5min and I come out to him trying to pulling it OFF the countertop...jump and pull, jump and pull... He was about to get 5lbs of trash on his head! I just don't think I can handle this anymore. I can't afford doggie daycare right now...ugh...I guess I'm just venting because I feel like I'm no match for him.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Ok I thought a while back that Zoey grew opposable thumbs and had opened her crate too but it was my mistake and I han't pushed it all the way like I should have. I am so sorry your stressing over the craziness. I think your baby is at that mischief stage now. Not sure what advice to give you but I am sending you a hug.

| How about a carribiner clip or something to clip to the latch once you slide it across to the closed position. My yorkie will pace back and forth and I think the vibration may rock it open. Just a suggestion
