| Want To Buy Codie Back? I Don't Think So!! Ever since I bought Codie, Ivan (person I bought him from) has regretted selling him to me. Even the day I bought and paid for Codie, Ivan was unsure of whether to sell him or not. Anyway, Ivan has offered to buy Codie back several times and let me pick ANY Maltese (male or female) that I want. But I always say NO WAY because I love my baby. He wanted to breed Codie. Well I had Codie neutered a while ago but I never mentioned it to Ivan. So he called me last night and again offered to buy him back. I paid $1,000 for Codie and Ivan offered me $3,000, plus ANY dog (male or female). I said (as usual) no and then I told him that I had Codie neutered. He sounded a little upset! Oh well, too bad! Codie is my family (my child) and I never had ANY intention whatsoever of selling my babies or breeding them. I even told him that I had Katie spayed too. I just hope this hasn't ruined my relationship with Ivan because I do want to purchase another Yorkie from him in the future (if I do not find one in a rescue or shelter that I like). Would you ever sell your baby back for more money? It's unthinkable to me! The money is NOT WORTH the love my Codie (and Katie) share with me.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I would take that as a huge compliment and THEN tell him ...Cody is in the BEST home he could be in with someone who loves him more than anything and that was the whole POINT of him selling Cody - and you choosing him. He should be happy how much you love him and what a great home he has - I'm kind of glad you told him you had Cody neutered - you never know what someone may do these days and I wouldn't put it past some people to try to steal him back ...not in this case - but he sure sounded like he regretted his decision to sell him - you have a VERY special little boy ! I would think this shouldn't jeopardize your relationship - once Cody became yours the decision to nueter him was all yours - not the sellers unless it was in a contract - It sounds like he sold too quick or another stud didn't work out for him - but you have a beautiful boy and he's ALL yours no matter how much money is offered - this kind of love isn't for sale ! |

| The only reason that I would ever sell Nala would be if I could no longer take care of her or something major!! I could never just sell her for the money. |

| First of all, if he was so unsure, why did he sell him in the first place?? Second of all, I wouldn't sell back either of mine for any price! I can't imagine anyone doing that. We all know how fast that bond is made.

I was never so scared in my life! What if I was far away in Jamaica or the Bahamas? I would have had to change my flight and it would have taken hours to get home. Would Codie have died? So no way would I ever give my babies up!! I was so angry at myself for leaving him but I think he's gotten a bit better since I got Katie. Before I got her, Codie suffered terribly from seperation anxiety. I don't understand why because I didn't get him too early (like 5 weeks or anything). I got him when he was 3 months old. Oh well. He's mine now and it's going to stay that way!

| thats crazy that he would tripple the price you payed to get codie back! take it as a complimant... like villette said, its good you told him you neutered codie, cause maybe now he will back off a little seeing as how he knows he cant breed him. i could never sell nugget back. he wouls be lost without me. he follows me around the house where ever i go, waits outside the bathroom for me, sleeps in my bed, goes everywhere with me... i just couldn't do it! |

| Quite a show of how much Codie means to you. Especially how much Ivan wants him back. |

| NO WAY!! My kids stay with me, no matter what amount of money is offered.. I have a friend that keeps asking (in a kidding way, I think) "would you sell Ellie.. she is my Favorite" My answer is always the same.. No Way!! and please stop asking.. She is my little luv baby!! Well, they all are but this is the one they ask for.. Our Destiny gets really, really depressed when our Daughter Aly spends the night at a friends house or even goes outside to play.. She mopes around like she lost her best friend.. We have to give her extra special attention.. She acts like she feels a little better, but she prefers Aly over any of us.. "Brat" I guess she just thinks Aly spoils her best! |

| buying back I have sold a few dogs that I have had the new owners sign a contact that I have the first option in purchasing them back if they were ever were to sell these dogs. But my feelings are that once they have attached or bonded with a family that is were they should remain. Sue |
