| My Maddie Just wanted to show off my Maddie... I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to posting pics or anything before now. We've only had her a couple weeks, but I've been sick almost the whole time, so I haven't been online near as much as usual. Anyways, here she is... exactly what I was looking for. The perfect colors, just the right length of hair (except on her back where she apparently had licked herself bare), adult (5 yr old) female. I don't think I'd change a thing about her other than that I kinda wish she was more playful.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Congratulations on your pretty Maddie! I hope that you are feeling better now. At 5 years old I guess some of the "puppy" playfulness has worn off, but maybe it'll just take a little more time for her to become accustomed to her new family & surroundings. Then maybe she'll get a little more playfulness to her.

| Maddie looks so sweet. I am glad you found her and she found you. I think with time she will probably become more playful. I think new surroundings confuse them. We just moved 6 months ago and Murfee is just now starting to be his old self. I certainly hope you are feeling better. Take care

| She's adorable!! My first Yorkie was a rescue type situation, an older, pregnant female. She looked a lot like your Maddie. While she wasn't the most playful, she was definately the most loving. It's been many, many years and I still miss her and carry her pic with me. Enjoy your beautiful girl!

| Thank you all for your comments on Maddie! She is a real sweetheart. I have noticed that she is getting more used to it around here and feeling more at home. I was here with her 24/7 for the whole first two weeks. When I did finally leave for a couple hours, I busted out laughin' when I came home. She ran to the door and barked til I opened it, then she took off and ran around the coffee table twice, back over to me to do a happy dance, then another circle around the coffee table, then back over to dance for me, around the coffee table, up on the couch, roll around a bit, etc... I was laughing so hard at her! She was just so excited and happy to see me! It's little things like that that give me hope that she might get more playful. Our other dog did... he's a shepherd/chow mix who was badly abused to the point that his personality was almost gone, he wouln't bark, he would basically just hide under the furniture. Now he barks (actually, most of the time it sounds like he's crowing like a rooster LOL) when we or my parents pull into the driveway, he runs to us for lovin's, he plays tag outside with the kids... he's just a totally different dog than when we got him! But it took at least a year to see the changes start to happen. I'm hoping that Maddie will change too... she don't have as far to go! LOL
