Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Time to cut some LONG hair...boohoo Well...sometime in the next few weeks Chanel may be getting a trim - When she plays outside... she has more leaves on her then the trees have on them - and now the INSIDE of my house needs a gardner...I'm thinking of only a few inches... but man - I worked hard getting her hair this long. Poor girl ...the other night I gave her a treat ...and she lost it in her face hair ! lol....you should have seen her little mouth trying to grab it...it was hanging off her face and she looked like she was having a spaz attack - I felt so bad !! (I had to hide my laughing so not to embarrass her) She gets VERY sensitive about her face...she's SUCH a girl ! After I pulled it off - she was kissing me like she was saying - "Thanks MOM ..Dat was annoyin"

| Ha ha I can just picture her looking for her treat. Your girls hair is gorgeous. I don't have the patience for that long of hair and keep my dogs in puppy cuts.

| she is so pretty its a shame you have to cut it but she will be a lot more happier I had to cut my brownie for the first time about a month ago and I almost cried but she was so happy and I think she lost like 5lbs of hair.. I also had to cut it cause every time I would be doing dishes or standing somewheres in the house she would lay next to my feet and I always ended up standing on her hair..lol she would try to move but couldnt do to me being on her hair.. but its a good thing for this texas heat. I hate to go outside during the day just image having all that hair in this texas heat. uh

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh you guys are SO RIGHT - she's actually usually good about getting brushed but lately - she gets squirmy... so I'm thinking of cutting it to make it easier on both of us..She still will have the long top for bows but she needs a make-over...it's almost dragging thru the grass ...It's like having my own yard raker. I was talking to a friend the other day and said it's pretty embarrassing that my yorkie has better hair than I do !! LOL...I'd LOVE to have hair like this.

No Longer a Member | I'm sure your girls will still be pretty n' sassy after they get their new do. I live on the gulf coast and with the heat index over 115 here last week I'm sure they would thank you for it if they could . I had mine buzzed off a few days ago as I work in the Garden Dept of a home improvement store...pretty dang hot. Been looking for sites with picture instructions on do-it-yourself grooming but haven't found much. The Gizzard is getting kind of uncomfortable and shaggy lately and at the moment can't spring for the Foo Foo Parlour. I bought the clippers and scissors and all a while back..time to take a test drive I guess. Guys can be just as vain as girlies tho, just looking for a few tips. It's just hair I guess, and his does grow fast. |

| hair cut You have TWO coats that need full time grooming..you are a better woman then I am!!!..I grew top knots on Char and Clemmie for the third time, then cut them off. My daughter, Melisa was here for a visit, we went to flea market and she bought fake hair pieces. I would buy clip on top knots if they made them. |

| I think Chanel will be pretty no matter what type of coat she has, long or short. She is absolutely breath taking! How long did it take you to grow Chanel's as long as it is in the picture you posted? I am trying to grow Schatzie's coat full and long for pictures then most likely she will get her hair cut too.

| Villette, I just worked up enough nerve to have all of Mia's hair cut off a couple of weeks ago. Did it right before we went on vacation beccause I knew her long hair would be full of stickers and leaves at our lake cabin. I thought I was gonna cry but she does look cute. I did notice that afterwards she has a tendency to get cold and shiver.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | LMAO Pat - I can seeeeeee the future..... and it's CLIP ON Topknots for yorkies !! Lol..With all the grooming threads we see - they could be a hot seller !! Schatzie - Thank you but if you saw my baby with treats hanging off her face ....and green beans STUCK to her chest (from the garden)- you wouldn't be saying that ...It took ABOUT 1-1/2 years since a puppy cut - but she's been trimmed in between - Brenda - PICTURES of your baby please !!! GIZMOS MOM - Yay Texas - it IS SUPER hot isn't it ?

| Sweet Chanel Villette... There is something "Special" about your Chanel ....even with shorter hair she is still going to be the YT DIVA... I'm sure these hot summer months a trim will make her feel better and lighter...she can grow it back during the cold months... We look forward to picks of her with her new look!

| Villette - Chanel's hair is just fabulous - I can't believe how long it is now on her lovely little face! I actually thought Gypsy Rose's was getting long (although I kep her face shortish) until I fully appreciated how long Chanel's is all over!! If I lived in the heat of Texaas I'm sure I'd have to cut ours too - I can understand your reluctance but it'll be far more practical. It's bad enough with Gypsy Rose having branches and leaves all over her (at least we have no green beans lol). I look forward to the pics before and after 'cos I know Chanel will still be so very beautiful! Ana xx |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Ana and Annadoodle !! I love it hehe - I AGREE - I just found this picture I took about 2 weeks ago - THIS is The REAL Chanel after racing around the yard - minus her beans ! Note the right side tilt of the bow....the precision way she holds her head so she can see out from that hair and that ponytail hangs just so...and the very attractive water dripping from the Dwink she just had ....lol - yup - that's my girl !
