| Update Everyone, I just wanted to let you all know how I am doing.. Its been 5 days since that tragic accident... I still think of Mocha often but now I can laugh at all the funny things she did... I haven't cried in 2 days... I have been keeping myself busy.. Actually, I just got back from a walk.. My friend and I would take her Maltese Sophie and Mocha out for a walk every Thursday night... Since it is Thursday we decided to do it tonight.. I walked Sophie and she walked Max her other Maltese.. It was my way of greiveing... I was in the park yesterday and saw 2 yorkies (one was 6 months and I told the guy my story and he was like, wow, i never take her harness off but now he's planning on removing the harness) The 2nd yorkie was great too.. Her owner let me pick her up and hold her!! It brough some comfort.. I just hope the other 2 ladies (Figment and Ladyof yorkies) are hanging in there... I am in the process of trying to make a memorial page to Mocha (with the help and Villette) and once i have it, i will post it.. Once again, you all have been fantastic.. I tell everyone I see the reason why I am coping so well is because of the wonderful group of friends I have on this site.. I will never leave YT unless ADMIN suspends me!!

| I got my Yorkie the day Mocha died and I haven't put a collar or harness on her since reading your post. She is tiny so she has to be in her pen a lot and after your accident I am going to be extra cautious. I just want you to know that I (and probably others) learned through your loss and sharing your story with others will save lives. I also read that you are questioning whether you will own another Yorkie. That is certainly a private decision but I hope you don't base it on what happened. Yorkies are not very independent compared to other dogs but that is part of what makes them so loveable. Just don't deny yourself the joy you describe when you held that dog in the park. I have owned many dogs but nothing is like this experience. Best wishes and continued healing to you. |

| Sounds like the healing has begun. Think about it, just holding and seeing another yorkie did you good! One day your heart will mend and you will forgive yourself. When that day comes I bet you will want another one! You are still in our prayers - Lida Rose sends puppy kisses! Windy and Lida Rose |

| Bless your heart. God will never put more on you, than you can bear. Each day your healing will progress. One day the hurt will be gone, but the memories will always be with you.
