| Sleeping through the night? When did your Yorkie start sleeping through the night? Cocoa is four months old and will NOT sleep through the night. We play for a while before bed time, I thought that would tire him out well he sleeps for about 10-15 minutes and then he's right back up again and ready to play. Well of course how can I help it, I have to play with him for a few minutes! When I put him in his crate he sounds like someone is killing him And of course - he pees all over him self EVERYTIME I put him in the crate, Even if he's just peed he will pee AGAIN in the crate Some advice would be great. Thanks.

| If Teddy is sleeping by someone he will sleep until they get up in the morning with only needing to go outside before bed. He has been doing that since probably 14 weeks old. I am not much help in regard to the crate though. He is so spoiled now that he almost dies when I say I am going bye bye and don't pick him up to go with and he has to crate for a matter of usually a few hours so sorry I don't know much about that.

| puppy crate Amanda..I have an 11wk old puppy. I will of had her two weeks this Friday. When we first brought Sophie home....I tried to let her sleep in her XL Playyard like the breeder had. Well...she cried in that..for two nights...I had to get up and down.. So...now Sophie sleeps in her crate by my 17 yr. old daughters bed. She loves it and loves being close to someone. My daughter use to put her fingers in the gate at night and talk to her...it helped... Now when I put her in at night...she is used to the routine..she has a little tiny fleece bed in there, a nylabone, a small stuffed animal, a blanket...Its cozy and cute. I think she feels safe..and knows it night time... I guess I'm lucky..no accidents in her crate... we usually go to bed around 11:00-12:00...and I'm up early....5:00.....so she isn't in there all that long. What ever you do...be consistant and your puppy will follow.

You answered your own question why he won't sleep all night. He has your number. You get him back up after 10 or 15 minutes. As far as the pp, you will need to totally remove all urine scent from his crate. Then start practicing the word IGNORE.
