That sounds fun! How did you find a meet up or is it a bunch of people you already knew?

Default Cooper

our baby Cooper is 2 1/2 lbs. he goes for his last puppy shots next week. He is adorable and we love him to bits already! (I fostered a puppy the first of march from Leesburg, she was a teeny 3 oz baby and her mommy wouldn't take care of her, I became her foster mom. her story is in the rescue section under help needed in Leesburg I believe.) Anyway cooper is her brother. I miss her everyday and wish we had kept her. She went to her new home a bit ago. The reason we didn't keep her is because she is probably always going to be super tiny and I have a 7 year old and a 10 year old and was nervous to have such a little one with kids. Anyway, Cooper should be about 6 pounds, safer size with children!

Have a good one,
traci

Aww that's such a sweet story- definitely probably better to have a bigger pup but I know that giving her up must have been really hard! It's so easy to get attached to such cute little babies- especially ones that need a lot of care! I'm sure she went to a good home and will be much loved!

I can't wait to get Cooper and Roo together- I'm sure they'll be lots of fun- both being puppies! We should definitely find a time after they both get their shots to get together! I don't know about Cooper but Roo wants to roll around and play ALL the time! It's so cute! The bigger dogs'll play with her some times but for the most part just ignore her!

How long have you been in northern va and do you have any other dogs? Know of any good dog parks etc in the area??

Default Central VA

Maxwell is 5 months and almost 5 pounds. I drive thru Madison frequently to go see my 91 yr old dad in No Va. Going to puppy socialization class in Earlysville every SAT afternoon at "Canine Campus". Different size puppies, Maxwell is the smallest. But it's fun.

As soon as Roo's finished with her shots we want to take her to dog obedience but she's so small I'm not sure she's going to be ready for a while! She's so smart though and learns quickly so she might be okay! How's Maxwell doing with the classes? We should definitely plan a puppy play date (after vacs of course)! Maybe Maxwell's training will rub off on Roo!

That would be nice to let them play together. We'll keep in touch.

I'm going to go to that Yorkie Rescue PA get together in June. Today is the last day to sign up, you ought to go. Check it out. I found about it here on YT.

Oh wow! I didn't know you were coming back to the area!!!

I'm from Northern VA (roosmom already knows); I've lived here all my life.

Currently I live with my fiance in the Alexandria area (near Springfield/Franconia).
