| Any breeders in PA I'm looking for a breeder in PA. I've looked on ytca's website and email a few breeders that were listed but I never got a response. Does anyone know of any active breeders in PA? |

| Possibly I just got my little Lily last weekend and while she's still too young to breed we are planning on breeding her in the future. I'm going to be looking for a reputable stud at some point. We want to obviously do everything right because this little lady is amazing already and we are so glad to have added her to the family. |

| Lancaster county also the biggest county for puppy mills. Do your research before buying puppies in any part of Pa. Pa. is the 2nd largest state for puppy mills.

| Please use the National Club's list for breeders. If one of them doesn't live close enough to you - just ask them if they know of anyone else. They usually know other breeders in their areas. Most of these breeders show so they may not be home - leave your name and number and a message about wanting a pup. Also, these breeders usually have a waiting list or will want to hold onto the pup for 12+ weeks -to see if they're showable - which is really the youngest age a Toy dog should be weaned from their Mom. Dog Breeders Map List- The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Several of these breeders are friends with a few of my friends and I know that they ARE reputable. Good Luck!

| https://www.greenfieldpuppies.com/about/ Please DO NOT use this place to find your puppy. This is a clearing house. Check for yourself but don't get caught up in the "puppy fever" when you see the pups. ALL pups are cute but not all pups are HEALTHY. They only give a 30 day health guarantee. They are using people who are breeding just to be breeding.

| Well I have nothing but good things to say about my experience, the Amish family that I got dexter from had his mom their with the puppies and she was so adorable. She jumped up in my arms and lap and loved me playing with her sons. |

| Please do not use Greenfield Puppies in Lancaster I also purchased my dog at greenfield puppies, I cannot say for sure whether it is a puppy mill but they didn't allow me to see the mother, should have been the first sign. I thought I was lucky, because we thought he was healthy. I wouldn't trade my time with him for him for the world, he was beautiful, so sweet, amazing, loving 7lbs (although they charged me more claiming he was a "teacup") only to later find out 6 years later he had a horrible kidney problem (stone maker). The vets at penn said it was likely hereditary and there was nothing I could do. After $30,000 in vet bills (not to mention, feeding tube, daily meds all day, at home subcutaneous fluid injections) and 4 months after diagnosis he is gone. I learned my lesson the hard way these breeders do not care about the dog or producing a healthy dog they care about the money. Please do not make the same mistakes I did. I'm on this site now researching because I want to find a reputable breeder but I had to warn others as soon as I saw the GFP mentioned. |
