Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | I'm in Carlisle, PA...originally from Alabama. Moved here about 5 years ago. I am a future Yorkie mom. Hoping to get our baby in December or January. I would LOVE to be able to meet some Yorkie owners, maybe even before we get ours. I'd love to be able to learn all I can, but even after, play dates would be so fun!!! |

| Good breeders in PA or neighboring states? I'm in northwest PA, about half way between Pittsburgh and Erie. I don't have a Yorkie (yet!) to set a play date for but I would LOVE to hear where you guys got your Yorkies from. I am gathering info on reputable, conscientious breeders now. THANK YOU! |

Anywhere near Meadville? I went to college in Meadville. lol Not sure if that is halfway. I'd prob call New Castle half way between Pittsburgh and Erie. We got our yorkies from a Breeder about 10 minutes north of the Pittsburgh Airport. I don't think she is breeding anymore though or at least that is what she told us after Geno's litter and then again after Mia's litter lol Geno and Mia's mom though cannot breed anymore since she had a c-section with Mia's litter and a rough time during the whelping. She usually had 2 bitches she bred but with the one out of commission, not sure if she is gonna keep the other one breeding. I'll see if I can find anything out.

| Hi Angie, We live in Exton Pennsylvania, about 30 miles east of Philadelphia. Abby is our first Yorkie, and she has two big brothers, Duke, our 10 year old Bichon mix and Kirby, a 7 year old Bichon. Kirby and Abby love to play, but Kriby gets jealous when he feels that Abby is getting too much love from Mommy. Someone told me that in a Yorkies little mind everything belongs to them, and we're definitely seeing that with Abby. She truly believes that everything in her life belongs only to her, including me. Potty training is going well. She enjoys going outside with her brothers, but doesn't like walking in the wet grass. The brothers are trained to the electric fence, but I have learned that it's never a good idea to leave little Yorkies outside without supervision. I know that it will take time. Please tell us where you live. |
