Time is not just a minute or another day,
It's a life time of memories stashed away.

So many of those memories that we hold dear,
Far too many shed many a tear.

Our faith and belief will see us through,
God walks with us daily with me and you.

The path we choose is ours for the taking,
The joys he gave us was his in the making.

Hold on to the treasured gifts that he so willingly gave,
Assuring us of eternity and wanting us all to be saved.

One day together in heaven we'll be,
The promise of life forever for you an me.

Hold onto the memories forever to cherish,
Those we hold dear never really did perish.

Time goes on beyond with abundant treasure,
Forever with you what blissful pleasure.

For this moment I long did pray,
With you in my arms we'll frolic and play.

Time waits for no one, it goes by so fast,
What we encounter in loving one another is what will last.

Take hold and feel the warmth of the sun and wind blowing,
Together what waits beyond for us is knowing.

Life's treasures are beyond what life holds in store,
Heaven has to offer ever so much more.

Our precious ones God has in his care,
Giving back to him was so hard to bare.

Hold on to this time if God wants it to be so,
Time doesn't stand still and he wants you to know.

Time isn't just to be here for another minute or a day,
It's a lifetime in Eternity forever with him to stay.

With each other we'll reap the blessings through time,
Not costing us a nickle or a dime.

Thank you Lord for allowing this to be,
For each of us, you, you and me.

I have written another Poem here in memory of Cassie.
Fifteen long months but Time is healing, Baby Blessing has helped us
so much, she truely is a Blessing to us both. Patti

Thank you each for your comments. This poem was typed within a half hour as I sat here at the computer last night and right away posted it to share with you all. Cassie we know you are forever in God's Keeping. We love you and miss you. God granted the gift of having you with us all those many wonderful years, so very blessed and lucky we were. Part of our hearts went with you but the Lord gives us all big hearts to share that love with another. I know you would have loved Baby Blessing, God has helped us so much by bringing her into our lives. Remembering you today, my heart is sad but I also am glad cause I know where you are and in who's care you are forever in. Loving you always.

My heart goes out to you at this time, I know what it is like to lose something so much a part of you...

They will not go quietly,
the dogs who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will.

You both have touched my

tonight. Sometimes...I just miss Jack so much...tonight is one of those times. He's been gone since 5-15-2002. He was so much a part of my heart....He was with me when I had the closed head injury. I was having mild seizures and he just knew when to stay close to me. He was my comfort as I felt myself just slipping away farther into this shell. If it's possible to have a soul mate of a pet, I know he was mine.
Patti, I have read many of your poems...they are beautiful.
