YT Addict | Sweet Memories Sad to say we lost both our yorkies to incompetent or careless vets,I know it wasn't on purpose but still they are gone. Our very first Pricillia died of tick fever after we had taken her in after having been bit by a tick and the wound om her head wouldn't stop bleeding, the vet(not our regular) just did what she needed to do to stop the bleeding. My wife and I had never heard of tick fever so were ignorant of the fact and by the time this horrible disease manifested itself fully there was less than a 10% chance of saving her....still we tried,oh god how we tried. But it was too late and after a month , three complete blood transfusions and several thousand dollars she died in her sleep between us one night. But we will always always have our memories. Her fist love was BALLOON'S! Lord how she loved'em , many the times I had to go out late at night to buy packages of balloons to satisfy her urge to chase and pop a balloon or two before bedtime,Second was she loved to go swimming in the pool with us,and and any air mattress floating around was HER'S! remember warning pool guests that if they insisted on using the floats to stay away from the edge of the pool or suffer the consequence's of flying yorkies Some people jus' don't listen...he he he She'd landed on more than one relaxing swimmer's back. would even fly off the diving board to reach a float. Her third love was KLEENEX! we had to constantly warn the woman to put their purses up on a table or in the bedroom because of this obsession of her's she knew all the ladies had'em inna their handbags. Course some people just don't listen, like the one lady who after setting her bag on the floor said, not to worry i don't carry kleenex.....well about 5mins later we walked out into the living room to see nothing but Cilla's hindquarter's sticking out of this lady's bag....woman just watched and laughed until Cilla came out cutching a green object and made a mad dash down tthe hallway and dove under the bed with her treasure! The woman went slightly green in color as what she glimpse was the one hundred dollar bill her husband had given her to pay some bill..!! Well by the time we could retreive it was of course in about 8 pieces! Lucky that the bank replaced it for her but I would be willing to bet that hundred dollar bill the story of the money grubbing yorkie is still circulating to this day. So be sad but remember the sweet memories that every Yorkie provide's It their legacy to us. Sweet Dreams my little baby. Dad Loves

| What lovely memories of a beautiful lil yorkie named Cilla. I'm so sorry she is gone and won't be around to make more memories for you. Your balloon story also brings back beautiful memories for me because my late Muffin loved them, too. In fact, she could smell them if I didn't hide them really good. If they weren't hidden somewhere else in the house, then she would stand there and bark until you blew up some balloons. Thanks for sharing your stories of lil Cilla. That really was a beautiful tribute.

YT Addict | One thing, when the time comes for that sweet baby of yours to go to the bridge never ever leave her at the vets or any other place, Have him /her cremated , placed in a urn and bring them home where they belong. When Cillia passed in 1994 I also made sure that her favorite blankie and a small package of BALLOONS! were put in the urn with her,She wasn't going to the bridge without them. It comforts me to know she's still here and i can talk to any time i want. Its amazing....as i sit here typing the tears are begining to flow.

| Thanks for sharing your beautiful memories. We only had Bandit for a month and I wish we had more memories of him. But the ones we have are sweet and we have his ashes on a shelf with his picture. I miss him every day.

| One of my happy memories of Rob is we used to open the back door and say pigeons and he would go flying into the garden barking and chase them of the garden several times he very nearly caught them. We now have a small memorial stone in the garden where Rob is buried and the pigeons stand on the stone and peck around I said to my husband its as if they are saying you can't get us now. But if I know Rob wow behold the pigeons when they get to rainbow bridge. Thankyou for sharing your memories it is good to remember happy times. |
