| Kate I didn't want to talk to my family about it because they all seem to have moved on. My baby Yorkshire passed away yesterday afternoon. She was only three months old. She was fine all day, and while running around she stopped and began to seize. I couldn't do anything but hold her in my arms and tell her that it would be okay, but she passed on the way to the vet. She died in my arms and licked my face one last time. I know it's silly, but I can't help but feel that this was my fault. She was supposed to go for her first walk next month after her shots were completed. Thank you for reading this. Again it is silly, but I needed to vent because I don't know what else to do. |

| Thank you for all of your sympathy and support. We've had her for almost two months, but were hoping to have her for many years to come. Thank you again for all the warmth. |

| This is not silly at all. It is very sad. I worry about my Copper sometimes. He is 6 months. I can't even imagine. Your family may have moved on, but when your heart is wrapped around your pet, it takes time to feel right again. So....sorry for your loss.

| So sorry for your loss...hope this helps: Just this side of heaven is a place called RainbowBridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross RainbowBridge together.... Author unknown... |
