| I found this after you posted the video Sylvia. This is a virtual memorial for lost pets. There is a $25 fee but they say it is donated to an animal shelter. Here is the link. https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Resid...intenance.aspx Any one hear of this?

| My gut tells me to be a little skeptical. The founder is listed as a Ginny Brancato of Cape Canaveral. She also has another site for humans Welcome to Beloved Hearts where you can buy a resident virtual memorial there. That $25 fee is per year not a one time fee. For the Beloved Hearts website they say a portion of the fee will go a grief counselling center. The Rainbow Bridge one is also only a portion of the fee going to an animal shelter.

| I want to thank you all for this thread so much. I haven't been able to post a tribute thread to Eddie yet even though I lost him on Oct. 3. We had our last two Doberman's cremated and when we decided to bury Eddie we put the ashes in his grave with him. I have seen the pet memorials that you can buy, but my husband got a sack of concrete and he dug out a spot the size and shape we wanted and we made our own memorial to all our lost pets by Eddie's grave. That way it was what we wanted and it didn't cost very much. It just took some time. We put a little concrete angel there and a heart shaped rock and it's under an arbor of trees so it's very nice to go and sit there. He;s still gone but it made me feel better. |

Thanks! I think that is sick to come up with ways to trick people when they are grieving. (If that is what they are doing). I didn't read it all the way through so I am glad you did!! Thanks again!

But how much of that $25 is a portion -10 cents? $1? Yogi will always have a place in your heart, do you really need his name on a website to remember him? You can get those paving stone things with his name on and put it in your yard as a tribute if you want to do a memorial for him. Donate to Yorkie Haven Rescue in his name, the money would do much more good there. Plant a tree or a bush in his favourite spot in the yard. There are many ways you can do things for Yogi's memory. I have several urns with pet ashes in them. Shadow, a stray we took in, is buried in the back yard (and there is a story there!). Marika, a lovely wire haired dachsie is also buried in the back yard and we planted a Valencia orange tree where she is buried (and that is the only citrus tree that has ever survived!). We have Penni's (our first Yorkie) portrait above the fireplace and her ashes are below it. There are lots of things you do to keep Yogi's memory alive. But he will always be in your heart.

| This was so informative. Thank you for posting this. I had to do the hardest task in my life. Had to euthanize my beloved Chiquita. Loved her so much and miss her immensely. Light candles for her every Monday night at 10 pm. |

| Memorial Stone I ordered a memorial stone with my little Poppy's name and dates on it. It is on the back patio in her favorite spot. The new canine kiddies like to stand on it when they are out there - clearly Poppy knew how to pick the best spot. My friends who are dog (and cat) people get it - some of my other friends, well, not so much. |

| Thank you so much for this info.! I had just got my 1st yorkie puppy after searching for months. I was blessed with my little 14oz 8week old Awhzzie! As a gift from my son.I fell in total love with this little Man. I had him for 3 days, and on the third day he wasn't acting right. I quickly did some research and I thought he was tired from the night before. I cuddled him then laid him in his bed. And my little Awhzzie never woke up. I can't get over it......did I do something wrong.....was it a birth defect.... How do I know? I can't get past it. He brigtened my life 100%. Now my heart is empty. The people that we bought him from offered us his brother. Nothing can fill Awhzzie's spot in my heart. But it would still be a part of him. Would it be wrong to accept his brother? Please help me! I need to know if it is the right desision. Thank you, heartbroken. |

| I am so sorry for the loss of your baby. We surrender our hearts so quickly to them. With each of my babies, I fell in love so quickly, and I understand why you are so heartbroken. Your Awhzzie was very small and young to be leave his birth mom, and it's difficult to know what happened. It may have been hypoglycemia, but without more information, I don't know what was wrong. It takes a long time for your heart to heal, and you won't ever forget your baby. When I lost my first Yorkie, I didn't think it was possible to love another baby like her. I was very wrong, and although no baby could take her place, I loved my other ones just as much as her. When you are ready, another little one will help to bring the laughter back in your home. The love you feel for your Awhzzie will forever remain in your heart. I believe that your love of your little boy motivates you to want another little one to love. I would try to educate myself about the health needs of these babies. This forum is wonderful, and we'd be happy to help you with your questions. I am truly sorry for your loss and the pain you feel.
