This week was one of the hardest weeks EVER for me. I recently had a little of yorkshire pups (only 2). The female was strong as the male was weak. He couldn't get milk (wasn't strong enough to latch on) and was tube feed for a week after birth. Only to catch Pneumonia.

I made the toughest decision of my life after 5 hours of him gasping for air. I took him to FIVE doctors to have them all tell me there wasn't anything they could do for he was too little. He was 3 oz. I made the decision to put him down for fear of him suffering. When he was tube feeding it just came back up his nose and felt like I was drowding him. Then when not giving him food - felt like I was starving him. It was a win lose situation.

So rest in peace little Max. You made it 11 days longer than anyone expected. I cry every day knowing you didn't get to open your eyes and see all the love around you. We love and miss you dearly.

My heart just aches for you right now and I am sorry that Max wasn't strong enough. You are so wonderful doing everything you could do for him.

Bless his little heart...your post was so full of love...he may not have opened his eyes... but he couldn't help but feel the love around him....

I'm so sorry you lost him - that was so sad. It sounds like you really did everything you could for him ....The Rainbow Bridge has a new little angel ...where he will be with many other RB Angels and not suffer anymore....

R.I.P. Little Max. And heartfelt condolences Kaja. It is so hard to lose a little one, but he is not suffering and is better off now. You did the right thing.

Thank you all that posted - It makes it a little easier to sleep with all your loving, wonderful and thoughtful posts. You all made me smile - which is really hard to do right now. I made myself so sick crying and stressing over all the possiblities that I developed a kidney stone and am now in the hospital myself. Please pray for little Max's sister "Maggie" to make it. She's perfect right now - but anything could happen. THANKS AGAIN - You all made me feel a little better.

That is so sad. You did an awful lot for the little guy. Can't say I blame you. Take care of yourself and Max's sister.

You need to take care of yourself right now! Max is at the Rainbow bridge and you did everything you could for him. You and Maggie are in my prayers.

You did everything a good grandma would!! Just remember you still have a litttle precious one to love!!! God just thought he needed to romp up ther, my She-ra had one puppy her first litter and it was stillborn, I would like to think that they are wrestling right now!!!
