My Letter To Our Dear Cassie - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Dear Cassie,
In the past I have written poems in your memory for you but tonight I feel led to write you this letter.

I look to the Lord and ask HIM to hold you a little bit tighter for me today.
It has been four years now since that most difficult sad day in our life. I treasure all our memories with you.

So much has happened these past months, with each trial in life we are drawn closer to the Lord and just wanted you to know about Daddie, although I kinda think you knew. I believe you were your Daddie’s Guardian Angel in June. When Daddy was in the hospital I took the little knit swatch I use to give him to help his left hand from the Parkinson tremor. When I placed it in his hand, he kept rubbing his forehead with it, kept calling it his Cassie Love. He held onto that little swatch and kept calling it his Cassie Love. He doesn’t remember that now, so very much he doesn’t remember, but the mere fact that he was calling that little swatch his Cassie Love, let me know you were a part along with everyone's prayers in his coming back to me and my bringing him home.

It was after your passing that God guided us to find this wonderful Group of yorkie families here at Yorkie Talk, how wonderful they have been to us. I know it was through their prayers (along with others elsewhere) that God has given Daddy and myself more time to be together. Many things have changed for us and also since you left us, but one thing will never change, that is God loving each of us so much and getting us through these trials in life. Knowing that you are in HIS loving care is so much comfort to me, these past months have taught me so much, I am able to understand more than ever how temporary this life is but that God has much, much greater things in store for us to all be together one day. Thank you Cassie, for continuing to be with us.

We continue sharing that love which we hold for you with our girls now, how blessed we are with each of them.

We will always love you,
Mommie and Daddie.

Patti...I just read your heartwarming letter to your dear Cassie. It seems hard to believe she has been gone 4 years, and you are so right...so much has happened since she left you. Bless your heart, Patti...and Jack's too. Love you, dear friend!

thank you Patti and Connie, it was four years this morning at 7:00 a.m. lifes changes are so difficult but this ole life is just a stepping stone to what lies ahead. Through all the sadness and joys we face in this life time my heart rejoices knowing what is awaiting for us. Thanks to you and all others and our furbabies for making this ole stepping stone a happier brighter place to be. We are so very blessed in God's gift of having these precious furbabies, they help so much to bring joy into our lives and it is hard to have to give one up, but this is only temporary as is everything in this ole life time. God is GREAT.

I'm in tears as I read this, cause I feel your pain. Cassie was your angel, just like you have been my angel. You always have your friends here to get you through anything. Cassie was a blessing to both you and Jack. Its so hard saying good bye. I like to look at it as see you later. For one day, Cassie will be united again with you and Jack. Just as Bella with me. What a gift our precious furloves are to us all, I look forward to being back soon on a computer when time will allow me to do so and to read the happy times of others with their furloves. I am on briefly and notice sooooo many new folks to the Yorkie Talk Family, so glad you all found the site, know you will feel the blessing of being with a great group of folks.
Our girls are doing great, little Prairie Bea eats so well and manages to keep her girlie figure

Dollie will be sharing a birthday the 22nd same day as Connie's Libbey, time seems to go tooooooo quickly in life but so thankful for the joy and the special breed of Yorkies

Baby Blessing came to us at a much needed time in our life, she really helped us through a rough tough time, so blessed to hold you in my heart today Cassie. We will always love you.
