| Oh, I'm so sorry. Please, tell your brother that there are people who do care and relate to the pain that you all are feeling. Hugs to you both. Several years ago, I was driving home on a busy country road and a large dog came out from around a group of trash cans by the edge of the road. I did not have time to stop and ran over him..right in front of his 14 yr old owner and his family. I stopped and several others and I moved Buddy to the side of the road. I stayed with them and Buddy until a neighbor could bring his pickup. We loaded him in the back and did not leave until they found a vet to take him to. It was an awful situation and I tried to do all that I could to comfort the family. I believe that I did what I had to do, what we are all expected to do. We have a choice in life: To do what is easy or to do what is right.

| So sorry for your loss. The person should have stopped. To just continue on was rude, thoughtless and cruel. Everyone who loves animals can feel your pain. Sorry the blog went off topic. People can be so cruel, that is why I prefer animals to people most of the time.

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I am so sorry for yr loss in such a tragic way & it had to be devastating for yr brother to be there. I have one word for alot of the responses that sums it up: COMPASSION I often wonder why some are missing this in their lives?? Sad! I found this years ago & kept it under the glass on my desk for years because I Loved it so!! It reads: The Essence of Compassion "Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and wrong.....because sometime in your life, you will have been all of these."

Senior Yorkie Talker | I am SO sorry.. i know how youre feeling and i just want you to know youll get past everything when i was about 14, i was out with some friends and came home to my mom crying.. she ended up telling me that my baby, Maggie, had been hit by a car going about 50mph down our road.. Maggies littermate, Daisy - my sisters dog, saw everything. they never stopped. til this very day Daisy hasnt acted the same. im choking up as im writing.. i miss her so much... i still have her collar and her favorite toy put away in a cabinet bc i cant stand seeing it.. anyway.. my mom wrote a poem about it and put it in the newspaper along with a picture - its one of the most heartbreaking thing youll ever read
