losing katie i'm new here and hope I am doing this right. We lost our beloved yorkie katie a year ago. I'm just now thinking of getting another... I know she can never be replaced but think my heart is now ready to accept another. This isn't too soon is it? She was 16, blind in left eye and deaf...

Welcome to YT. It's nice that you found us. It's sounds like Katie lived a nice long life, something I pray for my Buddy. If you feel in your heart you want another by all means start looking. Another dog will never replace your Katie by will replace the longing in your heart for another campanion. Good luck in your search. I hope you find the perfect Yorkie for you.

katie thank you for your heartfelt replies. I would like to "rescue" another yorkie like I did Katie. She was in a puppy mill just popping out litter after litter in a backyard crowded with dogs doing what dogs do. I was so SHOCKED... what is the best way to find a dog to rescue?
