| Toby's little shrine Picture Because everyone here has been so supportive with the loss of Toby, I wanted to show you a picture of his little shrine. Having a dog that lived to 17 years old is really amazing and I was so lucky to have him so long. Although since his ashes have been home my mom thought she heard him bark and thought she saw him walk through the house. Obviously its mind tricks but I don't think mom is crazy. Now when I was there I thought I saw him out of the corner of my eye. Maybe we're both crazy? I am still having a tough go at this, but I thank everyone here for the kind words, it is really helping me through these tough times. Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | That is very nice. Wow, 17 years----you WERE very lucky indeed! I am sure that Toby's presence will be felt in your house for some time; he was a big part of it for so long, and an even bigger part in your hearts, so "seeing" him is not crazy at all. Hugs to you and your mom during this difficult transition.

| What a special way to keep the memories alive. I have the ashes to my Julz and haven't decided on what to do with them. I don't want to spread them or bury them. I like your idea with the picture and toy. Thanks for sharing

| Its really nice to have Toby at home. You feel he's with you always. We thought of burying him and spreading his ashes too but we thought this was much nicer and I'm glad we did it. If you do the same with Julz make sure to update us with a pic. I do know when my mom and dad pass, I am to put some of Toby's ashes with each of them and some goes to me when its my time. |

| It's the toughest thing, having a pet pass away. I'm glad you have some piece of mind. Toby is playing and waiting patiently for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

| That really is beautiful and so thoughtful. 17 years is a blessed long time...but even then, we never really want to let them go. He will be remembered and those memories cherished...bless his sweet little heart. I too will miss him!!!

| That is just beautiful Toby sure was the cutest boy! I know you miss him terribly. Once in a while, I will see my dearly departed Starr out of the corner of my eye, or hear her toenails on the floor (these things only happen when Izzy and Luna are at the groomers) so it's not craziness, it's a tiny little visit from your baby boy

| Aww, that's a completely precious photo to put there. Exactly how you want to remember him, cute and sweet, cuddly and loyal.
