It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | I Can't believe it's been a year... Since I lost Duke. My heart still breaks when I think of him. I cry when it does. So much has changed since I lost my little Duke. I now have four yorkies all right at a year of age, but I still have a big wide hole where Duke left me. I am sending rainbow roses to you Duke and my heart with them, love momma Here's what was on my thread a year ago... I Lost My Duke Of York My pain is strong right now. I haven't slept all night. My Little Duke was hit by a car last night. I just can't believe he's gone. My husband had let him out to go potty and our rat terrier chased a rabbit across the road and Duke Followed. It's wheat season in Kansas and we live in the country. I can't imagine what a big ole truck would do to my little guy. I had not gotten home from work yet. And my husband thought it best I not see Duke. He and my son burried him for me. I didn't get to say good-bye. Everyone here told me earlier that I should not breed him to my sisters Chihuahua but I was doing so anyway. She was at our house this week. I am hoping it took because the puppies will be what I have from Duke. I pray they look like him. I can't get the picture attachment to work again. I'd love to share my favorites here. I have never loved another dog as much as Duke. He was so special. I know I can't afford to have another Yorkie. But he will always be in my heart.__________________

| I joined YT shortly after you lost Duke and read you post about him. It broke my heart. That post made me realize there were other people who loved their yorkies as much as I did. I'm sorry your heart is still so sore. My thoughts are with you. RIP sweet Duke. Sheilagh

| I remember Duke and your post. Sophie has been gone since January 2007, and it still is so fresh at times. It is like a wave of longing that just has a strength that cannot be stopped. To me, one of the most difficult memories of your post was that you didn't get to see him again. Bless you and your memories of Duke. Warmly, Deborah

Thank you Deborah for your blessing. And I also pray that Duke and Sophie are playing together waiting across the rainbow bridge.
