In Memory Of Kassie=papi's Kassie

A year ago today March 30th, Papi suffered a great loss in his life, his best friend Kassie.

We wanted to start this thread in hopes that others can post a message here to Papi, as both of us know this is a very difficult day for him. Our hopes that he will get to see this thread started in memory of his beloved Kassie, and know that many are still remembering and keeping him in their prayers as Jack and I do.

Papi, we pray you are doing well, that PattiCake is helping you each day in your life to continue on sharing that love which you so had for Kassie.

I will add the poem I had written last year called "Time"

TIME
Time is not just a minute or another day,
It's a life time of memories stashed away.

So many of those memories that we hold dear,
Far too many shed many a tear.

Our faith and belief will see us through,
God walks with us daily with me and you.

The path we choose is ours for the taking,
The joys he gave us was his in the making.

Hold on to the treasured gifts that he so willingly gave,
Assuring us of eternity and wanting us all to be saved.

One day together in heaven we'll be,
The promise of life forever for you an me.

Hold onto the memories forever to cherish,
Those we hold dear never really did perish.

Time goes on beyond with abundant treasure,
Forever with you what blissful pleasure.

For this moment I long did pray,
With you in my arms we'll frolic and play.

Time waits for no one, it goes by so fast,
What we encounter in loving one another is what will last.

Take hold and feel the warmth of the sun and wind blowing,
Together what waits beyond for us is knowing.

Life's treasures are beyond what life holds in store,
Heaven has to offer ever so much more.

Our precious ones God has in his care,
Giving back to him was so hard to bare.

Hold on to this time if God wants it to be so,
Time doesn't stand still and he wants you to know.

Time isn't just to be here for another minute or a day,
It's a lifetime in Eternity forever with him to stay.

With each other we'll reap the blessings through time,
Not costing us a nickle or a dime.

Thank you Lord for allowing this to be,
For each of us, you, you and me.

Papi I don't know the story of how you lost Kassie but I do know a year is just enough time to start to remember the good times without feeling to sad at the loss of a beloved pet.

I am so sorry you lost Kassie and hope you can now remember the good time fondly and even smile when you think about your baby.

Patti and Jack you are awesome people you comforted me about my Toby and really made me feel better. This poem is an awesome tribute to Papi and Kassie.

This was Papi's first posting in memory of his precious Kassie, here in the RIP forum. I tried to copy and paste it here but wasn't able to.

I'll add my best wishes to Papi. My husband ran into him in the park (he works in the park by Papi's house) right after he got Patticake. I'll have him keep an eye out for him now that the weather is finally starting to break here in NJ

I know how painful it is to lose a precious and loved companion, as do some others here on YT, but I also know that you never, ever really lose them, because they are always close by .... in your heart.

that is awesome...hopefully we at YT can get an update on him and patticake...its been long over due...hehe
