Oh my, I was so choked up reading your post. How very sad.
But at least you know you gave her a good life.

She will always live on in your heart.
I know that means so little when you miss her so very much.

We are sending Yorkie hugs and kisses across the ocean for you.
Yes, we all love our pets like you do.
I would be devastated also if G-d forbid anything bad happened.

I am SO grateful to all you lovely people who have sent me your good wishes and prayers. I am so lucky to have come across a site with such wonderful people.

Well, it's a week today since my baby died and it still hurts so badly but my tears have dried a little. At times now I think of little things she used to do and I smile. But then I think of the fact that she won't do them again, and I cry. My emotions are all over the place. Today (friday) I've been counting down to the one week anniversary of her death and I just know I'll be crying again when that time comes (2.45am). I took a little video of her just three hours before she died and she was walking around in her little hoodie, which I had bought to keep her warm, and I can't stop looking at it. I just can't believe she was dead just three hours later.

And the last few nights I've been dreaming about her. One night I jumped out of bed because I thought I heard her get sick, and I rushed to her aid. But then I woke up and realised it was a dream. The next night I woke up in a panic because I couldn't hear her breathing - again a dream. I don't know what's happening to me.

But as you all say, time will hopefully make it easier. She will always be in my heart as the most devoted friend I've ever had. She never ceased to be happy to see me, even in her last days. I'm not ashamed to say I loved her more than almost everything else in my life. She was a special girl and I thank her for making my life so happy.

so sorry for your loss. its hard to think about the memories you have made with your baby right away and only time will heal. when i lost my brother in 06 it was very hard to think about but as time went on the memoreis that you have make you feel better and i hope you start to feel better when you feel you are able to do so. i know you gave her a wonderful life and more and thats all you could do. best wishes

I am so sorry you have lost your Pixie. I had a Pixie once and she was very special to me as well. We are sometimes surprised by the loss of a person to a disease or heart problem, and they can talk and tell us how they feel. How could you possibly know, the vet didn't even catch it. I'm sure Pixie had a wonderful life with you and is watching over you now and not wanting you to grieve too much.

So sorry for your loss, I tear up just hearing the rawness in your post. You will never get over losing Pixie but the pain will dull in time and all the funny little stories will emerge and you will embrace the positive effect Pixie had on your life. You had a wonderful 12 years with Pixie, hold onto that and then you may be ready to love another baby. You were a wonderful mommy and I'm sure there is a little one out there waiting for you.
