I haven't posted alot, but always enjoyed seeing everyone's photos of their dogs and reading about them. My heart is breaking - I took Max out yesterday morning at 5 a.m. and a coyote was only 1 yard from the front door. All of this happened in seconds. Max being the protector he is, barked at him and started to chase him off and the coyote snatched him up right in front of my eyes and ran off with him. I was outside with him screaming and crying for him. I cannot imagine life without him. He brought me so much joy. Oh, I miss him so much.

OMG how dreadful, I am so sorry for your loss, this must be truly devestating, a big to you. This is so sad

. Did you find his remains or the Coyote ate him?

No, my husband searched the yard to make sure I did not find him that way. But you can be sure he will be trying to keep the coyote population under control - that is way too close. I just never worried about it that close to our house. Thank you everyone for your thoughts.

What a sad thing to see that happen right in front of your eyes. Max was loved and I'm sure had a wonderful life but I know your heart must be breaking.
