I wish I could have gone to see him and his family, but I was out of town

It really warms my heart to see how people can come together this time of year and help out.
Actually, Yorkie Rescue Colorado took Reese under their wing and Kerry who is a member of the Denver Yorkie group is fostering him and doing a great job! His family has been taking him for sleepovers on the weekends and we believe he will be going home very soon.
It was wonderful to see how many people responded to help Reese. God bless them all!

Welcome Corky!!! We are in southeast (Lamar), so it is too far to get together for a play date. Bucky is 8 months old and he said that it is nice to meet you. It is great to see more people from Colorado here!!!

There is a Denver Yorkie group that gets together about once a month or so. Go to Welcome to Denver Yorkies and you can request to join. This group is only for meet-up's and is not really a forum like Yorkie Talk. What's nice is you can get set up for automatic emails that will let you know of upcoming meet ups. (c:

My husband and I are moving to Denver in August! We will be attending the University of Denver for graduate school in mathematics. I'm going to join the Denver group. We're really excited to move!.. well, nervous at the same time. I still cannot imagine being so far from a beach and having this white stuff called snow fall from the sky...

Haha! That white stuff called snow happened yesterday, in MAY! The weather odd here, it will be 80 one day and snow the next. Colorado is awesome though, I hope you love it!

Default We are here in western colorado!

I know this is a rather old thread, but I just wanted to say that we live in Clifton Colorado which is RIGHT next to Grand Junction. I have seen a lot of yorkies lately, mostly teapots. We have a thursday evening farmer's market here in in downtown GJ every week and tonight I saw almost 10 yorkies. They are very popular here, although I think most of them come from 2 different people, "Suzoos yorkies" and "the yorkie ranch". I think they are both brokers, but only know for certain that the yorkie ranch is. I must say that every one that I have seen has been beautiful. If anyone out there wants to get together for a local yorkie playgroup I would be thrilled, so please let me know. Thanks, Sarah and little Alastor

Default gj farmers market

Dogs are always welcome at the farmers market as long as they get along with others. I was Tucker and his person April (Aquinn) there a few weeks ago which was neat. I don't usually have Alastor walk because he is so small he may get stepped on and have had a big problem with people just grabbing him and picking him up without asking. The farmers market here is just a social gathering where one can buy produce, local art, and just walk around. There are usually jugglers, belly dancers, and musicians there as well. Its just a nice excuse to get out of the house, do something free, and to do something with Alastor. I'm the one there with the small yorkie (who is usually in his orange stroller), and the 3 kids. Perhaps we will run into you there.

I am really interested in a local yorkie playdate but don't know how to go about it...any ideas?
