| Heart Breaks and Scams So I just moved out to Colorado from California, and someone happened to give their yorkie to my mom because they didn't want her anymore.. And my mom also isn't good with dogs and since she's heading up here to visit she offered to give me the dog, I was very happy because I knew the dog had been mistreated and knowing my mom, she wont even pet the dog. So I was very happy, getting ready for the dog.. Buying her a Doggie potty bell, special grooming products, a bed, dental products, blue buffalo dog food... For months and last night my mom suddenly tells me "I don't want to bring the dog, it's too much of a hassle, she can just stay here for a while until i can't take it anymore and give her to someone or toss her" I broke out crying all night.. I really wanted to give this dog a home (the dog is 2yrs old) as cheesy as it sounds, it felt as if I had a miscarriage or something. So I look online for yorkies that need a home.. And boy oh boy the web is full of scammers promising people adorable little yorkies. Long story short, does anyone know anyone with yorkie pups or yorkies that are honest and just want to give it a good home and aren't in it for the money in the 80525 Fort Collins, Co area? I believe quality is not "expensive", it's priceless. Please make my dream come true, I really waited for this day all my life... I've had such traumatic memories concerning dogs because of humans. |

I wonder if I can get her to ship her to me... They really hate going out of their way for ANYTHING. She also can't speak english... We used to breed dogs too (not yorkies) and it makes me sick how some people treat dogs, like they're just an item. I vowed to never treat dogs like items at a young age, but some people never change.

Then she tries to use reverse psychology and make me feel bad for her. She doesn't take this seriously, really pisses me off. Do you happen to know the cost of a shipping from cali to co???

| It's amazing that such a wonderful caring person such as you came from a woman who would "toss" a puppy because it was too much trouble.

| My step dad sent my two dogs that were older (a collie and a jindo) to the shelter while I was overseas on my teaching job too. I don't eve want to think bout what happened to them after that. I didn't have them since they were puppies but they really thought I was their mommy, they were maybe 3 when i got them, they were thrown away by people too and had a lot of emotional and trust issues, but they learned that they can trust me and love me. But then my stepdad turns around and does that to them. He didn't even claim them as "surrendering" because you'd have to pay like $50 to ensure they will be kept alive longer to be rehomed. They were the only dogs I was able to have that wasn't being used just for "breeding".. I seriously have so many bad memories in the dog department because of them. There's just so many people who don't deserve dogs, now my mom is using the excuse of "the dog likes me too much" ... But she doesn't play with her or pet her because "she smells" and wont potty train her but complain she's going everywhere in the house. And these creepy people putting out scam ads for yorkies in need of adoption. It makes me so so mad. |

| I am sorry but given what you have posted about your mom and stepdad my heart breaks for the poor yorkie. They are setting up the dog to be a problem. That they won't potty train and will not show affection because it smells makes me fear for this dogs well being. That is not a life for any living being. I hope you fight for what is right for this dog and rescue it from your parents. Best wishes to you and this little yorkie.

| I hope so too... It just boggles my mind. I try to be patient and talk her through it on the phone in the beginning before she suggested I keep her on how to train and love the dog. She just says it's impossible because she has no patience for dogs and the stink. And I tell her to wash her and dont shove her in a crate all day or neglect her and make her stay outside all day. She doesn't listen, and now she's pretending to like the dog, now that I'm angry with her and begging her to let me give that dog a loving forever home. And even if she does give the dog to someone she knows, they're all scums! I don't trust any of their friends, they're the type of people who only keep dogs for the "puppy" factor and then toss them aside if they're even a tiny bit inconvenient. Talking about this is popping a vessel in my brain. Sorry for sounding like such a spazzy angry person, but this is animal neglect and abuse in my opinion. |

| I'm so sorry!! it's so much worse when it's your own family treating pets this way.

| With such an aversion to dogs, why in the world would your mom even accept the dog from anyone in the first place? |
