We just got a yorkiepoo (hopefully the mixes are welcome?) and live in East Lansing MI, he has been a blast and is trying to train us as much as we are trying to train him LOL

I took him to my moms house out in Northwest Indiana and she didn't want me to go home, well at least without leaving the dog with her before I left...

Anyone know of a litter of yorkiepoos or a good breeder in that area (northwest indiana) so I can set her up to find one of her own?

She absolutely went nuts over our little all black yorkiepoo named "buddy" and everytime we talk she keeps bringing up if we ever see another one like him or decide to breed him to let her know...

Wow, looks like this thread from nearly a yr ago has been resurrected. I hadn't seen it before since I joined YT in Jan. - but thought I would say hi

I love YT and my 2 adopted Yorkies, Roxy and Bubba. We're in Des Moines, Iowa.

And I've come across just a couple of others from Iowa on here. And just this last week I have learned about a rescue in southeast Iowa - Fluffy Butts - that focuses on Yorkies and a few other small breeds. Glad to see so many midwesterners.

HI! I'm Cheska, Bella's Mom. I'm also Ariana's Mom. She's my 8 yr old daughter (an only child) and a little jealous of my new "babY".

I recently moved to Belleville, MI (a lil west of Detroit) from the Cleveland (Lorain) OH area. It's nice up here but it needs to warm up!!! I want to outside train Bella but it's to cold for me! LOL.

Hello Oceanair27. I live in Indianapolis. I'm also hoping to meet other yorkie owners that live in the area. Several other breed groups get together here in Indy at one of the dog daycares for a breed "romp". (It's a closed event just for the dogs and their owners to get together and talk & play.) I haven't seen any yorkie groups around here yet, but I thought if I could find enough yorkie owners who would be interested, I would schedule & coordinate a yorkie romp.

That sounds cool. I'll keep my eyes open for more locals that may be interested,and I'll keep you informed. How many yorkies do you have? Are they the blue and tan? I just have the one female,and I think she will turn out to be a black and gold. I will probably be looking for a blue and tan male this time next year (intact). Dont know yet if I will breed, but I would like to have that option.
