| There sure is! "Shorty" and his family live just outside of Sioux Falls. "Shorty" is a teacup as his name may suggest! |

| I just joined a week or so ago. Shorty is a dog I adopted from a Sioux Falls animal shelter a year and a half ago. He is not young but our vet says he has a lot of good years left if we take care of him. We had to have all of his teeth removed, but he compensates well without them. He is a teacup and weighed 5lb 2oz when I got him. We have him plumped up to 6lb 8oz now...He is spoiled rotten. |

| Hi ginnyb and Shorty. Welcome to YT. ok, as much as I don't like telling people this, I must tell you so you won't continue saying Shorty is a T-cup and maybe get a rude comment. T-cup dogs are only what some breeders call their runts (about 2 pounds fully grown) so they can sell at a higher price. People who show dogs would cringe at the word T-cup. Your boy is "normal" and your lucky he is since "most" super tiny ones have health issues. I hope I haven't upset you. It isn't my intention.

| Thanks for the correction on "teacup" We are German Shepherd people and I use to show English Bulldogs in obedience years ago so having our "little Yorkie Man" is a new experience for us. He is very tiny though, compared to the Yorkies I have seen over the years. |

| It's very refreshing to see someone who thinks their 6 pound yorkie is small. So often we see people complaining that they thought the here buying a "teacup" and their dog turned out to be HUGE. It weioghs almost 6 pounds.. They refuse to listen when they are told that a 6 pound dog is a very small dog, when they were wanting as 2 pound one. BTW I have a daughter that lives in Sioux Falls. Her husbnd owns the Outbsck Steakhouse there. |

| Thanks for the response. Shorty was a dog I got from the animal shelter here in Sioux Falls. He is not young but healthy. His eyes are cloudy and he takes glucosamine for a limp he "used" to have for one of his back legs. He was found as a stray. (what idiot would ever let a Yorkie stray doesn't deserve him). We've had to have all of his teeth removed and he does just fine without them. The vet says he has a strong heart and otherwise healthy. We are German Shepherd people, so a 6 pound dog is like a midget to us! Thanks for the response...Haven't been to Outback Skthouse yet..I'll have to check it out. My husband's family is from Council Bluffs. Ginny |

Bless your good heart for taking in that precious darling and giving him some quality life. My SILs name is Bryce, if you go there ask for him. Do you live in Sioux Falls? | |
