| Teacup Yorkie - NW Arkansas? Hi! My name is Cathy and I live in Northwest Arkansas, Rogers exactly. I am curious if there is a teacup Yorkie breeder anywhere near me - that the puppies are not priced at $2500? Any suggestions? Thanks! |

| Hi Cathy and welcome to our yorkie community. The first thing that you'll hear from many people here is that there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie. Yorkie lovers do not use that term to describe yorkies. Yorkies do come in different sizes though. The breed standard states that yorkies are usually between 4-7 pounds. Smaller yorkies are just smaller yorkies. There are health risks associated with smaller sizes. Be sure to do your research so that you'll know what you're getting yourself into. My Cooper is 7 months old and is 3.3# and Carter is 15 months and is 3.4#. Neither have had any difficulties to this point in their lives but that doesn't mean it will continue that way. You might check out http://mylittlemia.com. There is great information to be found about smaller yorkies on that site. Good luck in your search! An informed buyer is a wise buyer! Lisa

| Some luck I called the number in Missouri and left a message. I have not heard back from them. I have talked to another lady you told me about and she is going to have a litter closer to my price range - due at the end of the month. It is hard to be that patient, though. There were no yorkshire terriers in the NW Arkansas news today. Did you have anyone else I could contact? Thanks so much for your help! |

| Rudy! Thank you so much you guys! I found a little guy about 15 minutes from my home. I met him and his parents last night. His parents are around 3 - 4 lbs each and he is almost 6 weeks old and weighs a little over 1 lb. Oh my gosh I am in love! He cannot come home until the 13th, a little over a week and I am about to go crazy - but mommy time is important! I will post some pictures as soon as I get him!! Thanks again! |

| Rudy Rudy is costing us $500. His parents both weigh approximately 3lbs - we met them last night. They do have other puppies, too. A friend of mine fell in love with Rudy and is buying another male from the same place. They do not have a female from the same litter - but they do have a 2nd litter with the same father. I am getting him outside of Rogers near War Eagle. I am so excited I can hardly wait! |

| Breeder in Mountain Home maybe When I was thinking of a Yorkie I found a breeder in Mountain Home,AR. I dont' remember if she had teacups or not. I found her on one of the big puppy locator sites. I think she had Papillons also. Sorry not to be more help. I had a computer crash that ate a lot of my old bookmarks, etc. BTW, I'm in Harrison. |

| Hi and welcome. Roger's Arkansas?? WOW, you are the closest YT member so far. I am in Tontitown w/ my spoiled Schatzie. I wish you all the best in your research to find the best Yorkie ever. I have personally not found many breeders in this area. My Yorkie's were from OK but beware, this area is filled w/ puppy mills. I cannot stress enough how important research is, it truly will pay off and give you the Yorkie of your dreams!
