| Boarding in Chicago I am reaching a point of desperation here. My cousin is getting married in another country and I need to leave my dog behind for 14 days. Since I got her, my yorkie has never been left with anybody but my mother. She has also never been left for longer than just a few days. Unfortunately, my mom has been diagnosed with a thyroid cancer a month ago and she had complete thyroidectomy last Thursday. So, she will not be strong enough yet to take care of the dog. My baby girl yorkie is an absolute love of my life and there is an intense bond that we share with each other. As a result, she is normally very aware of my absence. I am an obsessed individual about dogs and so is my mom. Therefore, she has been the only person I could trust with my dog. Another complication about my dog is her size. She is 2.6 lbs. Thus, I have to make sure that whoever watches here is diligent and careful. She must eat and she she must be observed much more closely. Other than that, she is exceptionally smart, playful and generally a happy dog. What would be your advice? Does anybody know of an experienced pet sitter who stayed with a yorkie or a toy dog in Chicago. MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE. I want the best. Thank you for your help |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, do I hear you. Marcel is 2.10 lbs and I don't know WHO would be qualified to leave him with - tinies can have unique issues, to say the least. Why don't you try Angie's List - there are reviews on the site from actual customers and maybe there is someone on there that would match your needs....?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Have you tried your vets for a reference for a pet sitter. Could your Mom keep her and have a pet sitter come in a couple times a day to care for her?
