| Help find a CURE! This really such a wonderful event if you can make it!! A couple of points since I spoke to them about this is that your dog must be full blooded with papers to prove it to take part. ALTHOUGH any dog (mixed or not) that HAS cancer they are wanting to also take a DNA sample from them. It is very interesting and Miss Nadia and I will be there...ps no you do not get the results of the dna test - this is for their info only. They are wanting lots of healthy dogs to be in this study so they can see if this is something in certain lines or anything that might help find a cure. We are for sure there to help out in even a small way!! Your Dog Can Help Find a Cure! Saturday - May 8, 10am to 2pm Has your life been touched by cancer? The dog you love can help others live a better life! Please join us to help with research on cancer in dogs. The Van Andel Institute for Canine Health and Performance is looking for DNA samples from purebred dogs. (Purebred dogs needed due to being able to track DNA/pedigree). You can help by bringing your dog to Canine Antics Dog Day Care Facility on May 8th to participate. Dr. Roe Froman of the Van Andel Institute will be collecting samples. Any purebred dog is eligible. We will need date of birth, registration number, breed, owner information and pedigree if available. Samples will be collected via a cheek swab. Contact Ottawa Animal Hospital @ 399-2540 with questions. Donna R. Bauman, CVPM Ottawa Animal Hospital 620 Butternut Dr. Holland, MI 49424 616-399-2540 No appointment necessary to participate in this event.
