| Pet friendly hotel Saugatuck, South Haven Michigan Hi, Does anyone know of a good pet friendly hotel in the Saugatuck or South Haven area? I am going this week, and decided to take my fur kids. Basically, we are going to be hanging around the beach for a couple of days. Are dogs allowed on the beaches? I would even consider Grand Haven or any nice city in that area. Thanks, Periwinkle

| I don't know of any beaches in that area that is "dog friendly".... but there is a really nice "boardwalk" area in South haven that is really nice. (I would say that you could take them there....especially if you have a stroller) I would try to call a few places in the area....... if not, you may try one of the bigger chain hotels ....... there is a Residence Inn in the Holland area that accepts dogs (with a fee).......... but it is quite a ways from Saugatuck (about 15 miles).

| Usually dogs are not allowed on the beaches - board walks are usually ok...South Haven you can walk them out the to pier. You could stay here: PetTravel - Pet regulations, pet friendly domestic and international hotels and pet travel information! or this is really nice place to visit - I would call first to make sure they are current though I hope that helps Saugatuck/Douglas Amenities Chart

| pet friendly hotels Thanks, I found a Microtel Inn in Holland that accepts dogs. It was the cheapest rate for having dogs, $20.00 more. The reviews were pretty good. Periwinkle

| pet friendly hotels near Saugatuck Ok, we ended up staying at the Microtel Inn in Holland. They only charged us $20.00 extra for both dogs. It was very nice and clean. We didn't mind the drive and spent the whole day at Oval Beach in Saugatuck. Several people had dogs on the beach, no problem. I would definately do it again, my dogs had a blast at the beach, sneaking off and trying to make friends with other people on their blankets! Finally I had to put their leashes back on them as they were going up to people for belly rubs. Great way to end the summer. Periwinkle
