Tammy - Wow...Your dog is in a real book! I would love to see a picture of Chloe in the book, Dogs 24/7, and also a picture of your two dogs swimming.

Tatertot - How is Bandit doing? Do you have any puppy tales?

As for us, Piccolo had a busy day today. First she took a long walk. Then, she got a bath, which was much needed! She also enjoyed sunbathing out on the deck and barking at all the construction workers next door.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

Tammy you're too funny! I'm glad we were a good influence on your cleaning needs!! Boy everybody's getting baths today....Piccolo and Abby! We had an office lunch at Biaggi's and then i got stuck/glued onto breaking news on Senator Ted Kennedy's malignant brain tumor...makes me sad.

I've gotta get moving and get something done.

He looks like a puppy! He's adorable. I swear, if it weren't for Tony, I'd be over run with Yorkies! They are just too darn cute not to want them.

Yep, my dog Chloe, who passed away on Valentine's day a couple years ago, is in a real book Along with hundreds of other dogs.
I lost all my pictures when my computer crashed in Dec., but I think I might have the pictures of Chloe and Misty in an online photo album....somewhere? I've made so many over the past 10 years..I hope I can find it. If I do, I'll post the pictures. I could scan the picture of Chloe in the book, but I'd rather not smash it in my scanner. I'll look in just a bit.

Yes it must be bath day Although Daisy is off schedule. Abby's hair is just getting so long. I love it, but it is so hard to keep her brushed. Ashley, be sure to brush Bandit everyday! I wish Lynn had told me to do that when I got Abby. She's coming around now and is much easier to brush, but she still doesn't enjoy it.

Lucky Piccolo, sunning herself on the deck! I bet you are a bathing beauty

Lisa, you went to Biaggi's and didn't call me? I know I don't work at the office, but I've been in there before!

It is sad about Ted Kennedy The C word is a terrible thing. I wish him well.

Anyone else watching American Idol? Tonight is next to the last night. I'm going to an Idol Finali party tomorrow night. I'm not sure who will will win, but I think David Cook should.

OK, off to find pictures.....

Gosh it really must have been bath day for us all on here, Jeter got his too!! He likes to be brushed but he hates the bath!

Tammy, I think it's cool that your dog was in a book. I had my computer crash once and thought I lost some pictures of my kids. When we moved into our house almost 2 years ago, I found a disk that had all the pictures on them so i was glad to find them!

Well I have exciting news, I am going to be getting my girl Yorkie soon!! I think I have found a breeder that has checked out great so far. I am just so excited about it and hope things work out as well as they have so far with Jeter. I knew the breeder that I got Jeter from so this time around I am on pins and needles. Anyway's I am quite sure we will be naming this one
Petrick's Princess Yumi Yasha, and call her Yumi Yasha. Yumi is pronounced
Yoo Me and it's Japanese for Beautiful Yasha is also Japanese and translated to mean forest spirit or female demon in kanji

Bandit is doing great....although we are still trying to get him not to pee on our bed!! His play pen is set up at the end of our bed, and the changing area for a baby is his bathroom (we have a pee pad in it), he uses it every time he has to go potty other than when we are sleeping....its like he is punishing us for not paying attention to him. Any suggestions??

Oh my you are a lot braver than I was. I would not let Jeter sleep with me till he was potty trained first. we trained him to potty outside using the crate method, and he was about 4 months old when he was 100% trained. I have not had him piddle in our bed ever.

I don't have a clue how the pee pad training works because I did not go that rout. The only suggestion I would have for you is that you could use a belly band for male dogs. You can find them at Petco or on line pet stores, or if you are creative, you could make your own. also I think i read that you could use a baby diaper and wrap it around him that way too, no clue what size the person used or how old her puppy was but I think a newborn would be too big !! Good luck to you!!

Here's the picture of Chloe! I finally found it Bless her heart. She was 16 years old when we finally had to have her put to rest. She was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. One of the most faithful companions I'm sure we'll ever own. She was my protector and followed me everywhere I went. She's been gone for just over 3 years now. Anyway, this is the picture that was in the book.

BTW, that's our son in the background, Tony. He's almost 20 years old now!

Oh I love that name! Congratulations. I hope you get a happy, healthy puppy!
Wow, it really was bath day, wasn't it?

What a relief that you found that disk! I literally had thousands of pictures on my computer. Most of the important ones are either in online albums or were printed out, but there are some I'll never be able to retrieve. I am thankful for the ones though that I've been able to find.

Ashley, I think adorame's advice about the bellyband is good and the only thing I can think of. For some odd reason, Abby has never pee'd on our bed. That's the one thing that has made her jump out of our bed, is so she can go potty. I guess she knows it's off limits.

I bought a diaper from Petland and he is in between sizes so he just pulled right out of it....then I bought a belly band from a member here and he has figured out how to get out of that too....I think I need one that will glue to him lol. He has only peed a couple times but once it too many. He didnt pee in the bed last night (thank god) but my washing machine is still getting tooo much attention. Its really hard for me to work with him alot since I have to work Monday-Friday 9-6, my husband is home with him. but the problem is he is only peeing in the wrong spots when we are sleeping....when we are up with him he lets us know when he has to go (if we are holding him) and if he is just playing on the floor we have a pee pad somewhere in the room and he goes to it and uses it. I dont know if this is a behavior issue or what.

He's very young Ashley. At night he has to pee and you're asleep, so he does the only thing he knows to do...pee. I think he's doing great! I think I've heard they can hold their urine 1 hour for every month old they are. He's not even 3 months old yet, so to expect him to hold it all night is asking too much of him at this point.

Keep working with him and maybe try another belly band or diaper. Surely you can find one that fits properly. I know it's a challenge. Abby is just now growing into most of her clothes.
