| Please help again, poop after spay Ellie pooped yesterday (one day after spay) and someone else cleaned it up for me. They said it was dark (how dark I don't know) and pasty/hard to pull apart (sorry for being so graphic). She hasn't gone today. I will give her pumpkin if she doesn't go by tonight or early tomorrow. Is this dark color normal after surgery? I guess it could be the pain med but I can't find that as a side effect.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It could be from the meds or anesthesia. If she is acting ok I would wait and call your vet in the morning.

| Zoey didnt poo for a couple of days after her spay. I was starting to get really worried. I think they are afraid to strain. I dont remember if her first one was dark. I do know it is common for them to hold it after a spay. Hope your baby feels better soon.
