| Biggie's Bad Haircut I took my 9 Month old Biggie to the Groomer yesterday to get a full groom. This was his first professional groom. I have been trimming him at home since we got him. I dropped him off and gave the receptionist a picture of what I wanted his face to look like and stated other than his face, I did not care how much they cut everywhere else as long as his face looked like the pic and he wasn't completely shaved on the body. Well, my husband picked Biggie up and brought him home. My Biggie looks like a Poodle!! They cut most of the hair on his face so his narrow snout shows instead of having a rounded Teddy Bear look like the pic I provided! I am soo Angry! Should I call and Complain or wait until the next time I take him in to complain? |

| Since you provided a picture of what you wanted it should have been pretty simple to provide you with that look you wanted. Rockies first grooming experience was great. I am sorry you are unhappy with your babies first grooming experience.. I would personally let the groomer know how unhappy I was with the outcome of the grooming. I'm not sure if you plan on taking your baby back. But good service should be their first priority. |

| My Husband thinks we should give them one more try. He thinks there may have been a communication issue between the receptionist and the groomer as they did not give us our pic back (which is ok since it was a copy printed on regular paper) He thinks we should let them know we were not happy with the groom the next time we take him and personally speak to the person actually performing the groom. It probably does no good to go and complain right now as they can't do anything at the moment about cutting too much hair...I suppose if we do take him there next time I'll bring my picture again and bring a picture of what he looks like right now and give them a better idea what I want and don't want. |

| i would let them know now. the manager may not be aware that the receptionist is not comunicating properly with the grooming staff. if you make them aware that they are not supplying proper service, they can work at fixing the problem. i am a business owner and i would much prefer to have problems brought to my atention right away so that i can fix it asap. a complaint doesnt have to be rude, but just bring it to the manager's attention that you are not satisfied with the service they provided you. its their job to give you what you want. thats what they are paid to do. | I think I would give them a call and tell them you were not satisfied. Our first grooming experience was at the vet and went really well. I hope the next time is better for you and for your pup. |

| I'm so sorry they did a bad job on your yorkie....a lot of us here have had the same experience, it's very difficult to find a good groomer or at least one who understands your directions...when you do find one hang on to her with your life....

| I would definately inform the owner. They should welcome your unhappy comments rather than lose you as a customer and be sure to do a better job next time. If they dont then go else where. When on the phone with the owner ask who has the most experience with Yorkies and then request her next time. Ollies first grooming was a shock for us also!!!! He went in with his black puppy coat and came out shaved and grey!!! He looked like a schnauzzer. let us know what happens..... |

| I'd call and complain. You might get a free grooming if you want to try again.

| It is better to let them know now. Also, the receptionist shouldn't be taking grooming instructions if she is not a groomer. Where I used to work, if someone tried to tell me how they wanted their dog groomed, I'd tell them that I wasn't a groomer and for them to let the groomer know what they wanted when the checked in. When they brought their dog in to be groomed, they got to talk to a groomer who wrote down what they wanted.
